Second vs third generation iPad Pro is a different screen product. The third generation is a so called Liquid Retina panel and has those rounded corners. The second generation is a typical LCD with 4 corners with 90 degree angles. That’s the details. Hence it’s a completely different piece of hardware.

Connect to Coconut or 3U Tools to find the date.

Yeah, it's just another option if you want to just do it on your iPad or don't have a Mac for Coconut (I don't) or don't want to download & install 3uTools (a nice toolset, though).

Removing or shrinking the bezels doesn't change the type of display. The resolutions look the same and they both appear to have laminated screens, which is likely what causes the problems. Can you link to where relevant differences are discussed? I'm interested to know how Apple has addressed (or not) the issues that cause screen insensitivity.

I don’t know of an in-depth tech review of the display in the new unit or what Apple did to avoid certain issues they might have had in other products. Resolution and Pro motion seem the same, but Apple used laminated iPad screens starting with the air 2 I believe. Have you heard of similar issues with that model? Mine is doing ok still.

Bending something as thin as iPad Pro with arms is not scientific testing. It’s a show.

Scientific testing would include a controlled environment and a control group - or at least simulating everyday scenarios. Like he could’ve put the thing in a full bag and carried it around for a few days, but see how many views would that video have. Especially since the iPad would most certainly come out straight after that, which is non-news for YouTubers like him.

Unfortunately I pulled my 11" out of the case the other day and noticed it was bent as well. Quite disappointing seeing the care I've taken of this thing. I gently bent it back!

I’m not discrediting anyone. It is a matter of fact.
The iPad doesn’t bend by itself.
It could happen by accident, for sure. And it could happen without the user being aware of it.
But it bends only if you bend it.
It is called physics.

I don’t think anything, and I surely am not happy about that.
But an iPad doesn’t bend by itself.
It is a quite slim sheet of aluminum and glass. It doesn’t take much to bend it.

If it will happen (knocking wood) it would be my fault.
I won’t be happy, for sure.

But I have one and I have colleagues that own one since launch day. Without any bend.

To my knowledge, they didn’t advertise it as “bend proof”.
I knew since the first time I saw it that it is a device you have to treat with care.
Regular day-to-day use doesn’t bend it.
A torsion could.

Well said. It’s amazing that after 1500 posts there are still those who pretend it’s business as usual in iPad land. I had two people in my office next to me on my last job with bent cellular devices and we have an unbent one ourselves. They need more care than my previous iPads to stay in shape. They bend easily. That might not happen to everyone but these units are out there.
