iPad/smart cover color thread

how does the build quality feel on these, do they feel sturdy and like they'll hold up over time?
I think it feels pretty good. Even bending it around, I think it's pretty sturdy. I guess time will tell though!
Ah, I didn't realise it would go the other way too, that's great. All the videos and photos vie seen have had it the 'felt on the outside' way.

Oh that's cool. I had the same concerns about putting the inside part on dirty surfaces.

So something I haven't heard anyone mention is there's rubber (or something) where the smart cover touches the ipad so it doesn't scratch it.

Here's my "custom" smartcover. Started out as Tan, and then I darkened it using leather oil.

Nah, red is the color that freaks out bulls! I'm going to get a black one for daily use and a red one for going out evenings to warn the chicks that I'm in dah house!
Simply genius. That settles it. I'm definitely getting tan. I love the creativity people are already putting into these smart covers.
Just imagine how it'd look to have something laser etched on that, i bet the original color would come through and really stand out.

Also, does it result in any other benefits or downsides to the leather?
