Prices will probably never go down again for the pro and air. What can go up is what you get for that price. If the RAM crises gets better in a couple of years the iPad pro M7 or M8 will get 16GB RAM for the base model, just like the MacBook air and maybe also 512GB, just like the air. But that price is not going down. Sure you can get the base model (that one could go down again in price with time) or the air. Personally it's pro or nothing. I don't care. I'd rather buy an older pro than a non pro iPad. In that case, the only solution if you want something cheaper is indeed to get an older discounted model (prices won't go down for the new latest model, but companies sell old stock for a lot cheaper at some point) or buy used. Personally when it comes to the 13" I am covered for a decade (M4 2TB), but for the 11" I'll be waiting for a steep sale on the M5 1/2TB once the M6 has been out for a while. I can wait a couple of years with my 2018 pro 1TB and my M1 2TB. I have never bought my pro iPads at full price, I got them all new but at steep discounts, often half the price after a couple of years.Do you think the price will go down or everything else will just get so expensive it’ll feel reasonable by comparison?
