but do they 'turn' well? i don't have an ipad to try on but it seems some of those heads are a little high and would get chopped off when the ipad is turned...unless ur focus is lower than their heads

Is true... I made some photos of me holding the iPad for my boyfriend and didn't scale them properly. My head got chopped!

Ideally they need to be 1024x1024 in size and keeping the people, place or thing centered helps prevent it from getting cut off.

You can also adjust the picture while selecting them as wallpapers to focus on their faces (or any other part that interests you ) so that it is centered and rotates better.

Agreed. I always prefer images like this for the home screen, and more noisy images for lock screens.
