No case, no screen protector, yes Apple Care, thanks to IUP.

I hate cases. I hate skins. I hate screen protectors. I never use any of them.

I have had every iPhone since the 3G, and only had a case on the 6/6S, because that thing was just too damned slippery. I had to buckle and get an Apple leather case. As soon as I got the 7, no more case again.

I picked up an 11 Pro today. I went naked on my X for the first time because the glass back was more grippy than the aluminum and it was the first time I actually felt comfortable using an iPhone without a case. However, the back of the Pro feels much more slick than the plain glass on the X.

So, anyone who has had a week with their naked 11 Pro, how has it been? Do you feel like you’ve been more prone to drop it than your X or XS?
The back is slicker, but the sides make up for it. I haven’t had a problem with it.

I'm waiting for my dbrand matte black skin for the back. It provides a lot of grip. Once that's on, no need for my case. I had that on my Xs Max, and never came close to dropping with that on it.

The slightly thicker and heavier Pro Max feels so smooth and solid in my hands. I can’t bring myself to use a case.... EXCEPT when I’m traveling, and at social gatherings — where I have to worry about OTHER people’s butterfingers!

Admittedly, I feel free to do this because Apple’s iPhone Upgrade Program automatically includes AppleCare.

No screen protector and no case - so far my iPhone 11 Pro Max has survived a whirlwind international trip (just three days overseas, and all of the running around that implies) and it's fine.

Naked. My phones have been naked since the iPhone 5c. After I had that phone for 5 years. Took off that Apple case with the holes in it. Phone was pristine. I said to myself, it is a shame, I would have enjoyed it more without the case. Never again. So, naked, no screen protector. But, yes to Apple Care+, I am not a complete fool :)

I use a screen protector but that’s it. I have apple care as well. The phone feels excellent without a case. I love using the device without a case.

I’ve never used a case or screen protector for any of my iPhones, dating back to the original. Never had a problem other than minor screen scratches in the last few years (screens have been getting softer as they are being made to be more shatter-resistant).
This. All of this.

No cases, no screen protectors, ever. They both completely ruin the sleek feel of the phone.

My iPhone X has a couple micro scratches on it, which are only visible when the screen is off, and with certain lighting at very specific angles. Stainless steel sides also have normal wear. I’m gonna polish it up so it looks crisp again and give it to my mom.

iPhone 11 Pro feels absolutely fantastic. Best phone yet, by far. And the most durable, from the couple YouTube videos I’ve watched.

I have AppleCare on the X but never used it. I also bought it for my 11 Pro. Just for piece of mind I guess.

No AppleCare, Otterbox Commuter on my 11 Pro Max.
I actually like it in the case; makes it feel more substantial.
Weight and size are, surprisingly, not a problem for me.

is someone using the beautiful iPhone 11 or 11pro naked?

apple care or not?

Sure some do :)

They may use Apple Care and/or Medicare ...

I use to go naked all the time. But had an 8 plus that some out got a small crack in the back glass. Not sure how, I baby my phones. Then I had an X, same thing. Had another small crack in the back glass. Neither phone was ever dropped. Nothing banged into them. Set down gently. No idea how they got them. Ever since I can’t bring myself to roll naked. Which sucks, I didn’t mind it so much with the Xs max but I really want to take this case off my 11 pro max. Love the back glass on it. Just can’t bring myself to do it.

Naked since 2007. and the first iPhone. No AppleCare. Never shattered one, maybe scratched the screen a little on the early ones that were not so durable.

Pretty much most phone drops occur while you’re transitioning from one position to the next, for example standing up from sitting or getting out of the car. I’m just extra careful then, I also try to carry my iPhone in pockets with zippers or front pockets of jeans.

Naked, but only in the morning... Full protection from the elements for the rest of the day.

I surf, swim at the beach, rock climb, play tennis, hike 10-20 mile, 10,000 foot tall peaks here in SoCal. When you’re that active, not having a screen protector and case is a recipe for many a visits to the Apple store which I’m not a fan of because I’d rather be out doing said things. I like the Tethys screen protector and use it on my new phone as well as my previous iPhone XS Max. Right now I’m using a clear gear4 case until it fades and I’ll replace it with another clear case.

Max and naked here, I use all my phones ceaseless and only have a case handy for hazardous situations. I have apple care via the IUP.

With a case on the max is IMO just too big.

I accept I will get battle scars along the way but I just think cases ruin these devices.

I use a leather slip case. So when it’s in my pocket or I put it down anywhere, it’s protected, but to use is I have to take it out of the pouch and then it’s naked.

For me, it’s the best of both worlds. I hate using the phone with a case
