I hope the battery quality is better than the iPhone 11 Pro's, I had it less than a year and its battery health is @ 85% maximum capacity.

Yours must've been defective bc my iPhone 11 Pro is at 96% without optimized battery charging on...I've had it since launch day.

Why the iphone 11 with bigger battery than 11 pro ( 3,110 mAh and 3,046 mAh) but the onscreen time is only 5 hours and 8 minutes, compare to 7 hours and 36 minutes on 11 pro. Both has the same cpu. I’m don’t get it.
Yeah, this part didn't make sense to me either - I thought the iPhone 11 had better battery life than the 11 Pro. . .

What did they think was going to happen? Anyways, use the faster charger and/or have an inductive charger (or two) somewhere convenient, and it is a negligible difference. If you're spending 6+ hours of continuous usage, you're going to be bringing a battery pack or charger with you regardless of whether it lasts 6.5 or 7.5 hours.

Plus, the 20W charger charges an empty iPhone to 50% in only 28 minutes. In other words, you can be back to 50% by simply connecting your phone to a plug for 1.94% of your day. If your situation completely prevents you from being semi-stationary, near a charger for even 28 minutes, then are you really going to be watching videos non-stop to the point of draining your battery completely?

This sucks. I'm already having to extra charge the 11 pro during the day. Now it seems I'll have to do it longer/more often.
Thx fruit.
Maybe you need to reconsider your usage habits. If you're recharging the 11 Pro during the day, you're already using it way too much.

I’m sure pro max will still offer at least 7 hours, 30 mins battery life so even with an hour less i think most people will still be fine all day. This for me is still all day battery life but people’s usage will vary i guess.

I think many people will be switching 5G off. I know i will as i won’t even have a 5G sim in it for at least another year.

I was really happy with the battery life on my 11 Pro (although the battery seems to be degrading way too fast) so this is a bit disappointing.

However I just went to apple's website and compared a 12 Pro to an 11 Pro and even on there, it states the batter life is 1 hour less...so the tests done in this YouTube video do match up... unfortunately.

I'm very surprised with the "poor" results of the iPhone Xr, which has an excellent battery life (if not the best when it came out). Are the new phones that good, or are the tests not reflecting reality somehow?

This is interesting, but I’m afraid most of people’s use case is not represented by those tests. Most of us don’t spend the whole day playing games and such; we spend it texting and surfing the web.

It’s obvious that the new models, with more processing capacity, will handle better the activities tested in the video. But I rather see real life tests, like the ones by Tom’s Guide: https://www.tomsguide.com/news/iphone-12-vs-iphone-11-how-will-they-be-different

not sure how people can be on their phones for 7-12 hours a day...i can go 7-8 hours on a weekend but during the week i work 10 hours a day and no way would i have time to be on a phone that much. Surely most working people can’t? Each to their own i guess.

LoL, I struggle to get my iPhone 11 under 70% each and every day. And I have it on me in my pocket all the time so it's having at least a difficult time getting reception. Everything better than this is freaking amazing!

The real shocker here is that the 12 and 12 Pro get at least an extra hour of battery life over the standard 11 that had a larger battery and lower resolution 720p display...

How often do you charge it and how? My iPhone 11 is still at a 100% and I charge it every night with Apple’s original 5W charger.
Every night on wireless charger, sometimes I charge in the car to/from work or lunch, rarely have I used the fast charger. I’m at 89% after 1 year. I’ve been using my phone a lot more the past year though, so that could have something to do with it.

I bought my 11 pro a year ago and my battery health is still at 98%. That's incredible to me. I think Apple's new battery charging optimization really works because I'm pretty sure my 7+ after a year was down to 90% which is still outstanding.

Better OLED screen on the 11 Pro vs 12? I couldn't say. I haven't really read much regarding the screens. I thought they were relatively the same.
Sorry. My mistake. I thought they had different screens.
EDIT: I have deleted my previous post.

Correct me if I’m wrong! Are all these new sealed iPhone? Or different age phone? Wouldn’t the iPhone 12 battery be so new it would need a few cycles before it reached its full capacity? And the other phones being older had that time to run in!
