If you have a UPS Customer Center (CC) nearby, then you can have them hold the package for pickup when they open on Friday at those locations. If you have it held for any other UPS locations, then in my experience it will be Monday of the following week before you can pick it up. Very important to have it held at a CC. Do it every year and pick it up when they open.

Actually, if you choose a UPS Store, there's a risk that it doesn't get there until Monday even though the UPS Store is open on Saturday. Not sure why, but it does happen.

UPS store always adds extra day because they need to deliver it. Normal delivery is M-F, no Saturdays. Most likely Monday. Also, when change in UPS my choice. It wouldn’t tell you until after change. Then too late to switch back.

I preordered mine within 5 minutes from the launch and got a September 27th to October 1st delivery date. Is there any hope that I may be able to get it on launch day? I need to stop obsessively checking my order status, but I can't stop

in my past experience with ups it will change that date but then later on the date will be changed back to the original one. its like a temporary date.

If you think that’s crazy wait until you see the posts about people harassing UPS phone centers on the 20th because their package didn’t show up at 8am or by the end of the estimated window. Then they will harass Apple for compensation for having to wait. You ain’t seen nothing yet!

my customer center changed their opening time to 11:30am
The last time I picked up an iPhone there 7 people were in front of me all for the same reason.

Cc is about 45 minutes from me and wont really be that way that day. What are the CCs usually listed as in app? I see something that's called like "world delivery center" and its right distance but unsure? I believe the cc I talk about is at the closest international airport...but by name cant tell if it's right one

Tried to change mine to a local "The UPS Store" half a mile from house and it was going to change delivery from 9/20 to 9/23. No thanks

Generally changing it to the CC or Hub that it has to pass through will allow it to be intercepted by you on the same day, although usually this further away than your local UPS store. Then they have to do additional rerouting of the package, etc etc which can end up in the additional day(s).

I think they are still loading the pallets, my wife's phone has not moved since the label created, so I am hopeful that they are still loading.

I ordered 2 iPhones back to back, i.e. almost simultaneously
- first order iPhone 11 Pro 256GB midnight green: shows in UPS MyChoice (see above)
- second order iPhone 11 Pro Max 256GB midnight green : no tracking at all
Both orders are "preparing to ship" in the apple store
