Is there any way to switch from delivery to pickup at the store with the iUP? I’m one of the unlucky folks who managed to get pushed back to Sept 27-Oct 1 just mere seconds after preorders went live. But my local store is showing launch day pickup available for my configuration.

How much of a hassle is it to cancel an iUP rose then go back and reorder? Is it possible to do it with the same preapproval?

If you want to switch I would see if Apple can do it for you

Huh....

UPS has my tracking number. But the Apple Order still says preparing to ship. No Tracking info.

What does your status stay on apple order status page? Is it still in the "Processing" Stage? If so you can cancel it and try you luck, since your order managed to change to 9/27/19 - 10/1/19, I doubt it would be in the preparing to ship stage.

Good call. They told me they’d have to cancel my order and I’d have to go through the whole Citizens loan process again if I wanted to use iUP. Getting a phone on launch day definitely isn’t worth another hard pull on my credit, so wait I will. Oh well!!

I’ll just live vicariously through my wife who will be having hers delivered on launch day lol.

It will not matter on your credit report as Citizen for IUP to home deliver is the same Citizen for IUP to Apple Store pickup and in the unlikely event they actually request a hard pull it was done for either. Even if it would be a second request from the same company within a 30 period it would only count as a single request for credit availability.

Credit pulls from the same company within 14 days counts as one inquiry per FICO.

If you already had a hard pull, they won't do another one with the same month. I did this once 3 years ago when I first started on the iPhone 7. couldn't decide, ended up returning it only later had that regret but did it again and hard pull only showed once.

So you technically can cancel that order and redo one for in-store pick up and you should be fine. If you decide, you should do it soon. If I recall correctly, Starting Tomorrow the in-store pick up option will be disabled starting tomorrow and will be re-enabled again on Saturday.

I did the same and didn’t get a second pull. And even if they do, pulls for the same bank/service during a 30 day period are grouped as one by the bureaus.
