That makes no sense. If they are getting one shipment a day it would still be delivered that day.
You face delays when you request a change too late in the process.
If it gets diverted to a franchise UPS store it can very well add on a day. I know a few owners of them. They usually get one delivery a day and it’s usually around closing time so they can do a drop off/pick up to save on the number of stops and labor involved.

If I only have a UPS store as a choice for pickup, and assuming that it still delivers on Friday, I’m better off waiting at home since UPS usually delivers to my house before they leave something for me at the store to pickup (or before the store has it ready for me to pickup).

in many cases, especially in rural locations, it gets delivered to UPS Store but it is usually around closing time (before or after). So unless you are at the store when it gets there if the store is still open then yes you get it. If you arent there or it delivers after closing you don’t get it until the next day the UPS store is open. Many aren’t even open Saturday so you get it on Monday.

I see. Stores in my area have two visits. Once in the morning to drop off and once at night to pickup.
Might be best to call your local store and see how they work.

Does anyone else not having a tracking yet? Makin me sad. I understand I’ll still get it on time, but I’d like to watch it come over

Moving quick for a reorder made about an hour ago... must be some of the Apple magic...!

Ugh, I need charge this phone...lol!

For the first time ever, it's telling me that if I hold for pickup at my local UPS Customer Center that it won't be ready until Monday 9/23. Ugh. I guess I'll actually have to sit and wait for it to be delivered this year. I've been picking it up for at least the last 4 years.
That is interesting. Not sure why it would do that. I just did the request for UPS CC and all 3 of them showed they would hold it from 9/20/19 to 9/26/19

With the trade war - it was rumored that Apple pre stocked a ton of phones in warehouses to avoid billions in tariffs. that would explain why many that ordered early have no tracking. they are sitting in a warehouse waiting for Wed/thursday before moving.

DONT PANIC:)

I live in the white mountain national forest in NH. Anything in the north ⅓ of the state is rural. We have rural USPS service (neighborhood mailroom), rural UPS/FedEx service which is a whole another story. Often the packages get transferred to someone who delivers them in their personal car as a subcontractor for a contracted privately owned FedEx/UPS delivery service. Nothing like seeing a beat up toyota with no hubcaps, a bunch of dents, and chipped paint delivering your package. It usually takes postal mail a 4-5 days just to get 180 miles away to central Massachusetts. It is like this in many rural areas across the country. My mail man drives a 15 year old station wagon as his delivery car.
