If you do it on the website then yes. But for the Apple store app no.

The upgrade fee from AT$T is bs. It looks like IUP again will not let you purchase a sim free. Is the other workaround buy trade in to a t mobile and just switch out with my current sim? T mobile upgrade doesn’t require account info?
