I believe that means Monday... .

If you can, have them hold it at the CC rather than to another UPS location- in my case those are local UPS Store locations that have the Monday availability. It takes time for them to get it to the Store locations and then they have to sort it before closing to give it to you. It's possible you could get it late on Friday, but they do say one business day later for a reason.

I am fortunate in that I live about 10 miles from our CC. I wondered about lines last year and there were none at 10am.

Last year it was an easy phone call to arrange the hold. This year I had to use the tortuous UPS automated call system at their 800 number to get to a real person who was able to confirm my Friday pickup (assuming they get it before Friday, which they will) at the CC.

I am a big CC fan! Best way to get things without having to wait all day listening to all the trucks that drive by on the various roads on 3 sides of our house, wondering "is this the one?".
Yeah, she isn't going to be around. She works all day Friday, Saturday. So it's not like she's going to have a lot of time to set up an iPhone.

Thank you for that.

I’ve been on too many forums where those topics get brought up and good threads get killed. Let’s all just enjoy the week and enjoy sharing in the waiting game.
I honestly have no authority but yeah, it's not worth spiraling down the PRSI hole. Also, it's against forum policy.

Anyone know why the Apple site says " unavailable for pick up " and will only allow me too order to have the phone shipped directly. Two days ago it was showing available for pick up at my local Apple Store on September 20 but I didn't pull the trigger then.

Because all allocated stock for that store is already reserved?

I called UPS to get an agent to change mine to CC. I did something like that last year, flew almost the reverse track my iPhone had taken from China to me on my way to China.

Click here for the cheat sheet of how to use the UPS phone [(800) 742-5877]:

I said "tracking hold" to the automated voice, and it asked me domestic or international, and then i spoke with a real human being who was able set up the hold at CC.

Don't tell anybody else, I don't want them to turn this off for next year. ::grin::

At what point in shipping can you call UPS to do this? Once it's in the States or before. According to tracking it is still in ZhengZhou.

It means they're out of that phone type on September 20 or they don't have any allotted stock. The iPhone 11 Pro 256 I bought for my wife was only available to ship.

You can call them whenever, but

I would wait until you hear from Apple re: a delay. For all you know this is business as usual. It's only Tuesday.
