I see 8 large planes heading from Anchorage to Louisville today (5 of them are 747s), arriving between now and 1am on Friday morning. Plenty of time for them to make it out for delivery tomorrow.

A few years ago I watched my iPhone fly over my house on the way to SDF on FlightAware, diverted over Ohio by a big storm across several states just west of Louisville. As I recall it arrived into SDF around 3am and was still delivered to me on Friday.

All my iPhones skipped Alaska and are now in KEntucky. I haven’t received a box for my Apple Upgrade Program, how does that work?

you’ll be getting emailed instructions soon. I just got mine. It’s an easy process

Me! Most excited about CarPlay changes.

the CarPlay changes are really nice. I’ve been on iOS 13 beta

Mine updated from that screen with the exception noted to the one below in the UPS app on my iPhone. I take this as a confirmation that it will be held at CC per my instructions to UPS earlier in the weekView attachment 860077.

Last year I got a My Choice email from UPS on Thursday night telling me they'd be delivering a package to me by end of day on Friday, but at 7am on Friday morning they informed me that my packages were being held for pick up. I cannot definitively state that last year's had this Delivery Change in its status, but I did make the change later last year than I did this year.
Ups told me the request went through

No Arrival Scan, no Import Scan... My most recent Shipment Progress entry is a Departure Scan from Anchorage time-stamped 09/18/2019 2:06 AM.
Import scans are physical scans of each box. it’s coming 1 by 1 no one will get them all at once. We will see these trickle in all day

”Right now there are various piles of iPhones stock piled in locations around the US. Your iPhone will come from one of those. If you live near one then your notices may come later in the week. Example: I live in east central Illinois and over the last few years my iPhones have come basically overnight from Louisville, KY. Therefore I may not see any change in status until Tuesday or Wednesday. I will however get my phone on Friday.

Also, I will not get it before Friday. Some years some people, only a handful may get theirs on say Thursday. But you could count on one hand, out of all the millions of phones shipped, all those who were lucky enough to be them early. Your chances are better playing Power Ball.”

I was told on that forum that I was wrong that each phone was basically individually shipped from China when you ordered it. However, I believe that in large part, I was right. Last Saturday I got my notice that my phone was being processed, then that it was being prepared to ship. After that time, nothing, until this morning, when I received an email from Apple that my iPhone was in Louisville. I believe that it was there all along and was part of a pre-positioned group of iPhones (from other postings I think that iPhones are Also propositioned Texas and in California).

They didn’t just begin making iPhones last week, and much as we may like to think that each of ours was made specifically for us when we ordered it, this is not true. Apple cranked up the manufacture of the phones early this summer of late spring, and have been quietly propositioning them around the world since then. No single warehouse could hold all the phones in one location.

If you have been informed by Apple that you will get your phone tomorrow, then you will get it then. It may be closer than you think.

Oooohhhhh I didn't know there was a new CarPlay layout. I really like the CarPlay functionality but the design and interface was a little bit lacking in some aspects. It seems like this will fix some of it.

the new CarPlay is great. You’re not kicked out of Maps or whatever else in on the CarPlay screen when you switch to something else on your phone. There’s a nice split screen with Maps and audio controls, too. And, album art in Music

Yet a gazillion people had their phones scanned at 2:55 in China. Man, that guy or gal must have been working at the speed of light that day to scan that many phones in one minute... 😆

Yeah.. had a lingering thought in my head of me remembering the import scan at SDF in the past.

Thanks for the correction.
It used to be anchorage. There was a bunch of us waiting impatiently with our phones sitting in anchorage, waiting for customs paperwork.

Does anyone know if theres an option to pre-sign for the package? Usually there’s been a page you can print out and sign to leave on your door, but I can’t seem to find it. Usually I get it held at my local CC, but it no longer shows up as an option for me to hold my phone there
I have the option to pre sign for mine. on UPS website when i track my package.

Album art was one of my biggest gripes and changes I was happy to see. You could even see the album grayed out behind the text.

You are incorrect about the stockpile. No they didn’t just make them but yes they do ship from China and then go through UPS in louisville. They are then sent from there to each hub on Friday.
