So if I currently have 13.1, I need to put the public beta on the new phone to get all my health data from my watch?
If you are on iOS 13.1 beta, you should insure that you have a current backup tomorrow when setting up your new phone. Then quick build your new phone, skipping all of the time intensive things like face ID and Apple pay. Skip every thing that you can.
Then download the beta profile to the new phone and reboot. Afterwards run software update and upgrade to 13.1. After it's reboot do a full erase on the phone. After that reboot, set the new phone up using the current backup that you have. This is the best way to insure that you do not lose any data.

Interesting...My deliveries App show that my phone has departed Louisville. Not sure if this is going to be on the truck or on the plane because I clearly thought they would overnight these and fly out during the time we sleep. We shall see.

A bit labor intensive...but that is how I have to do it too.

Yep! That's what I do every year. I skip everything on my new iPhone when setting it up for the first time, get the iOS beta profile installed, updated to the latest beta version, reset the phone and set it up all over again and then backup from iCloud of my old iPhone when given the choice while setting up. I usually do last minute backup (it's backed up every time I charge the phone automatically though) right before doing this so I have the absolute latest backup to transfer on my new phone.

Darn I always wave at mine as it goes by. Now I won’t be able to see it.
How come?

proof that you don't pay attention to what other's post or who you post to!!!!! and I know you've been in this thread from the beginning... HIS BROTHER IS A PILOT FOR UPS... and for that matter: YOU ASKED HIM TO GET HIS BROTHER TO POST PICTURES OF THE PLANES FULL OF IPHONES just a couple of days ago!

:rolleyes::rolleyes:
Yes I sure did! I’m a busy person

I need to find a good screen protector that has an installation tool. I can’t line them up to save my life.
I’ve used spigen screen protectors with their alignment tool and it installs in about 30 seconds. Costs like $12 bucks for 2 with the alignment tray already pre-installed. Peel the inner layer off of the tray and drop it on your phone. I guarantee it’s going to be the easiest screen protector you’ve ever installed. I have mine sitting here next to my Apple saddle brown leather case ready to install once my phone gets here. Still have the spigen installed on my xr at the moment.

You mean something like this?

Edit: This is what I have been using for my XS Max and installs perfect.
That’s the exact one I used on my xr and have sitting here waiting for my 11 pro.

Looks like there are 3 flights later today heading from KY to San Antonio...hopefully mine and my wifes are on one of the next two.
Woohoo!! Maybe mine is in there as well.

I second the spigen also. So easy to put on with the alignment tray.

Anyone order from BestBuy and get a status? My order doesn't say if it's shipped or not. The order says it's suppose to arrive by Friday 9/20.

However, I also have a notification from Fedex that something is coming by Monday 9/23. This is just based on my address (I'm signed up with Fedex for this). It shipped from California and is in NM right now. I have no idea if that's the iPhone or something else I ordered (or someone in my family).

Anyone order from BestBuy and get tracking info?

sorry.... this is the apple.com order thread. no one here ordered from best buy.....

You might want to check your tracking. I’m in Michigan as well and just got a departure scan from Kentucky

Also in Michigan. Both of my phones have a Louisville departure scan at 1:45pm. Last year, my phone flew into Lansing and then was trucked up to Grand Rapids to be delivered to me. The next flight from Louisville to Lansing isn't until 04:01a Friday morning, so I am unsure where they are headed right now. Usually, expedited services such as UPS Worldwide would not go via Ground until they are in the proper destination State.

All the ducks/emails/etc in a row for tomorrow with the phone, but I can’t remember, do watch bands come UPS also? Not the watch, just bands. (I searched the other threads but no one is talking about tracking bands)

all my apple store bands have come via fedex....

Hey thanks so much for that!! I want to make sure I get all my data this time. This is the first year I really care about all of my data because of my watch. Usually I just set up as new.

if doing a restore to set up the new phone tomorrow, is it better to upgrade my old phone to ios 13 and do a backup to restore from, or just leaving it on ios 12 and restoring from that backup will be just fine?
