Question for all my friends here. If you get a new watch and new phone...what order do you go about setting them up? Do I need to pair the watch to old phone first, then restore new phone from backup? Or can I simply unpair my old watch from old phone, and connect new watch to new phone? Does it matter? Probably a topic for another forum...but I’m here already.

Wonder if Houston deliveries will be impacted by the flooding? Hope not, but would understand if I didn't get it tomorrow. Thankfully no flooding by me....yet

I do it this way...

- Unpair your old watch from your old phone. This will create a backup of your watch data to your phone.
- Backup old phone to iCloud. This will backup your phone and watch data.
- Setup new phone then restore the phone from the backup you just made.
- Setup new watch with new phone then restore watch from that backup made earlier.

My plan is to...
--unpair the old watch on the old iPhone.
--backup the old iPhone (I'm using iTunes. If I password protect the backup the passwords and health date will be retained).
--setup the new iPhone and restore from the iTunes backup.
--pair the new watch.

Anyone have a better process?

Mine is already in Miami! Guess all that’s left is staring at my front door all day tomorrow...can’t wait

mine’s hanging out at the Jags game, waiting to take the last leg of its trip to St Augustine. 😊 464143F9-3A35-4EDB-87A4-65B5BC81E4A0.jpeg

Can someone explain this....
My phone arrived in Louisville, KY earlier today straight from ZZ (no Anchorage scans) but now KY doesn’t show on my tracking and it arrived in Philadelphia, PA. I’m in DC Metro and they usually go to IAD (Dulles) before hub and truck.
I’m not worried about getting the phone tomorrow, I was just wondering why past IAD to go to Philadelphia...
