Black iPhone 11 128GB, Verizon, activate later, launch day delivery, trading in my iPhone 8. Wife got the same thing in green. Used Apple Card I got last night for 3% cash back. Have a cheap clear case coming from Amazon to tide me over.

This is why buying outright and Apple Pay are a wonderful thing
If you have the money to buy outright I never do, the monthly payments make these phones affordable. Apple Pay is via my debit card so cannot use that. I do not use it with my credit cards.

Anyone else's order show "on hold" when viewing the Order Details?

iPhone Upgrade Program Order

Your order is on hold
Once your application is approved, we'll email you an updated delivery date.

Same here. Tried in store first which had stock but no open registration times open.

Also what a pain in the a@@ paying with Apple Card. Had to go find the number in the wallet app. You would think the Apple store app could pull that info in..

I was surprised that I needed payment info too. I didn't see Apply Pay but luckily, I thought to get out my cards (2 just in case) so it didn't slow me down much. The other 3 used the saved card.
What is weird the card is saved for my Apple ID as one option. But there were no options to gather that info not sure what went on with mine.

I think it will. BUT if it doesn't I'd wait until your tracking number is issued and change the delivery to hold for pickup and you can get it when you return on the 4th. If you cancel, buy the time you can reorder you'll be waiting for a while for delivery.
The issue is I did a trade in and I arrive home late on Friday the 4th and fly out early across the country on that following Monday. Our local UPs doesn’t allow pick ups in Saturday’s. I also need to get my phone shipped back to ATT in 2 weeks and I’m worried about missing that date ...I did last year because I was in the Middle East for vacation last year and had UPs hold the phone and it was a freaking nightmare to get ATt to accept old phone. I said I wouldn’t go through that again. I will wait until the week of the 27th to see if it will arrive before we leave before I cancel. I’m really hoping it will arrive early.

Currently using the X. Still confused whether to get the Max or not so I placed an order for the non Max first, but decided to just get both and return either one and the Max has been delayed to 27th-1st... Should've done it the other way, rip. The Green is so popular this year.

It's no different, its a 0% loan. Paying up front with 0% interest doesnt make much financial sense when you can leverage that money elsewhere. Anyone who invests would tell you the same.

For me, I get 5% cash back for utilities on my business credit card with my ATT bill is; Apple is not. So since the phone payment is part of my bill I get 5% off each payment which adds up. About $27-28 off the phone cost of $550 if upgrading yearly (half the $1099). So it's a good chunk of change doing it that way for me versus paying up front.

Plus I dont want to risk reselling it privately later. Too many horror stories of scams out here, even on something reputable like Swappa since they still use Paypal.
