iPhone Pro 11 arrived about 12:30 this afternoon. Getting it set up was a bit rocky. Initially I typed in the wrong PIN for Verizon and so activation hung up. That was OK I realized almost immediately what I had done but it didn't just tell me the PIN was wrong, instead the activation just hung. Finally I had to power off the new iPhone.
When I restarted it would not do the automatic transfer thing and I had to a manual activation. Fine. I put in the correct pin and that was all OK. Then it went to wanting me to put in my apple account and password, which I did. That wanted to use 2 factor authentication but it wouldn't come up on my old phone (probably because I had activated the new phone). But, the new phone didn't seem to know it had been authenticated so it didn't get the authentication messages.
Ultimately I went back and started over on the apple account and it worked fine this time and didn't ask for the authentication.
I ended up hating the case I had bought online (folio type) as it was too bulky. I decided to go with an Apple case as I want something easy to take on and off (will use it without case at home). I went to the Apple store and liked the new clear case but found it super hard to get on and off. Sales person kept trying to sell me on the idea it was as easy to get off as the other cases but it wasn't (at one point I actually dropped the phone trying to pry the case off of it). I did find that the leather case was as easy to get off as the silicone case and I liked the green leather better than the green silicone so went with that.
