My tracking still says out for delivery, but I don't believe it. I guess we will just have to wait and see, but I don't expect to get it tonight that's for sure.At least I know I'm not the only one.

Even if I did try to exchange it, it’s not like they have the phones in stock. I would have to wait God knows how long to get a replacement. Just to probably find a similar tiny flaw on that one. It just doesn’t seem worth it.
They have stock set aside for instances like this. Doesn’t hurt to ask if your not happy.
 
Still can't activate my phone. Been hours on support calls with AT&T and Apple.

"The SIM card in your new iPhone is not the one that shipped with it. Please reinsert that SIM card and restart the activation process by turning your iPhone off and on."
This happens occasionally. The best way to get past this is to just pop out the NANO-SIM from your existing phone and put it in your new iPhone. Maker sure your new iPhone is powered off while replacing the NANO-SIM. Your new iPhone should have come with an included SIM Extractor (in the white folder in the box). Yes even if you ordered an AT&T version, this is new this year.

The reason for this is that the AT&T system has the wrong information parked on your line of service for the "Activation" process. If you reuse an existing active NANO-SIM just go through the normal activation steps on the iPhone by entering your Zipcode and the last 4 digits of the account owners SSN. It should do a quick activation and continue on to the rest of the setup steps.

Mine says delivery by end of day today, but it also says in transit. I'm just really hoping it comes tomorrow. When I spoke on the phone around 9:45 PM EST they said all the trucks were already in for the night

Hopefully they upgrade the remaining few to Saturday delivery like last year.
 
Again nothing is perfect. You can buy a new $60k car and I bet you can find a paint chip or flaw somewhere
One of the reasons why I tell the dealer not to touch the paint on my brand new cars. I’ll detail them myself starting with decon getting the iron deposits off before paint correction. Because I WILL find a flaw in the paint. Lol, we’re delving into another one of my obsessions. Last car I let the dealer cause more damage was when I took delivery of my freshly ordered ‘08 C6 Z06. Never again.

I've noticed over the years that occasional hardware, as well as software/OS, upgrades flip a "switch" and cause something to work or not work in unexpected ways. Sometimes it was turned on and is now turned off, sometime off and now on, and sometimes the setting is correct but the behavior is wrong. Not even a yearly occurrence, but often enough that I have noticed it- on my Mac and iPhones.

So.... Sept 27-Oct 1 folks, anyone got a tracking yet? I don't really remember how does it work for those with non-release date delivery. Are they also shipped straight from CN, or would it be from somewhere in the states?
 
Well this sucks. Apple's "new" USB-C cable renders all of my USB chargers useless.

Well, I am not upgrading.

Anyone know if Apple sells a STANDARD USB charging lightning cable for the new iPhone 11 Pro Max?

Anyone have a solution?

Oh they def’n have stock. Every year I preorder the new iPhone, but if I don’t get launch day delivery, I always go to my local Apple store to buy the phone there, then I cancel my preorder. A few times I did in-store pickups, and I decided to change my preorder phone for a different color/storage. I’ve never had an issue with Apple helping me, so if the scratch bothers you, might as well go and see if you can exchange. You have 14 days to return/exchange the phone, regardless of scratch or no scratch! 🙃

Finally! Got off from work and was able to pick up the brand new 512 GB Sim free Mid night green iPhone and titanium watch! Enjoy your phone for a year people!!!!

Congrats, exact same setup here, switched to Midnight Green from Space Gray, super happy. Local Apple Store had stock of 512GB Pro Max MG SIM-free.

Also the black titanium watch is 🔥
