I'm torn on ordering through Apple and going to one of our local Apple stores for pickup. So far our local stores (Easton/Polaris) have shown no stock on the 11 Pro Max in silver/256. Anyone have any idea which would be faster? Shipping dates still show late October. I feel like stores will have to start getting them in stock before that, right?

Update: My girlfriend checked randomly and Apple had stock at Polaris finally. I got my silver Pro Max but had to go with 512 instead of 256, and she got her greyPro Max in 256 like she wanted. I had a feeling not ordering online was my best bet. Woo!

I ordered online, but I keep checking local stock every day. If one does magically become available before mine ships, I'll definitely go grab it and cancel my online order. My shipping window is Oct. 22-29, and they don't charge you until it ships. So For now, I guess I know it'll get here in a couple weeks, but I might be able to find one in the meantime, it's like a fun game I guess.

Ordered 11 Pro 256 GB Space Gray on September 26th. Says Still Processing, Arrives October 17th - 24th.

My date hasn't budged since I placed my order, so I'm guessing Apple is still catching up on their supply.

That's what I did. I wasn't going to upgrade from my XS Max....but once again I was pulled in lol

I ordered online and had an Oct 28th ship date....but I kept checking my local apple stores every morning and found one yesterday.....bought it and cancelled by online order.

I was in and out of the Apple Store in 20 minutes.

I spoke too soon!

Shipped today and now estimated to arrive October 15th.

I bought my Pro Max on the iUP, and sent my XS Max to Apple per the trade in kit. I had to return my Pro Max due to a faulty power button, so Apple cancelled my trade in (as expected), and they said they'd ship the XS Max back to me. Apple has had my XS Max since 10/3, and they haven't sent a shipment notification. I've called them several times, and they finally opened a shipping investigation yesterday (previously, they told me to just wait).

Fortunately, I photographed and video'd my XS Max (including serial number on the screen) just prior to boxing and shipping, took picks of the trade in kit and label, and have Fedex tracking that Apple received it, but I'm a bit antsy.

Are you going to get another 11 or keep your XS?

Ordered Green max 64gb, now showing prepping to ship with the original quoted date of oct 23-30.

Have been checking daily for availability at Apple Store - today I checked about 12:30 pm and there was availability for the one I want. Did the order went to the Apple store - what a mob scene but I got my phone - did the trade in etc. I forgot what I pain it is to re-login to apps, etc. So far the phone is great - quick, great display etc. We'll see over time but so far happy

Just going to ask this here since 99.99% of us have an iPhone 11 and the thread has died down.

When haptic touching messages do you get your 3 most common contacts that you can hit and jump right to the conversation. This always worked on my iPhone XS Max but this option never has come up on my 11 pro. Asked a friend on iOS 13 who has an XS still and it still works for him.

October 2, it now shows shipped and will arrive on the 17th. UPS is still showing not a valid tracking number yet though.
Go take your Apple order number. Go to UPS tracking in your browser, choose track by reference. Enter the Apple order number minus the last two characters. This should show you where it is currently. In years before the UPS tracking might not update using the tracking number until it’s within the last 24-48 hours of its trip

That unfortunately just shows the Apple Watch (which was a part of the same order) that was delivered last week.

Edit: update - UPS now shows 2nd day air shipping from Ontario, CA to the Bay. Strange, I expected this to come from ZZ, China.

What model did you order? It seems like Apple are now catching up with the demands and are starting to stock up on the inventories at their warehouse now. Therefore they are starting to ship them directly from their warehouse. Especially the ones with the less demanding models.

Yeah, I’ve had mine ship from and show me details starting from China, I’ve had it originate in Canada, Kentucky and from New York. It’s odd. I’m glad that pulled up your info! Very awesome!

I stopped by my Apple Store with all of my documentation on Saturday and spoke to the manager, and she couldn't do anything except tell me to call Citizens One. I called Citizens One on Sunday, 10/13, and they spoke with an Apple rep while I was on the phone with them who stated that they would ship the phone back to me on 10/14.

Well, today, they still tell me to wait another 24 hours. The Apple rep said, "they're trying to figure out how to get it to me". What the heck? When pressed, he hemmed and hawed and backpedaled and said that I should be contacted by "that department" by tomorrow. Of course, they can't give me a number to that department.

At this point, I'm starting to think that they've lost my XS Max. If I don't hear from them tomorrow, I guess I'll take a shot at sending all of my documents, tracking info, and pictures to TCook's office and see if I get a response (not holding my breath). I just want my phone back or the loan cancelled. Next time, I'm trading in in the store.
