there would be no tracking yet right? too early... you get tracking just prior to shipping... ?
Apple doesn’t send tracking till it’s in your continent or country, but you can start tracking over the weekend often by using the tricks mentioned before
I had almost the same thing. I had the pre-approval/renewal of IUP ready to go, but then it asked for my credit card number. Spent 2 mins running around to get my wallet...and it slipped to 9/23
I got the 11 Max Pro, 256gb in green. Annoyed that this is my first year in many not getting it on iPhone day. Oh well.
Couldn't they have already had my credit card info with the pre-approval?? They should have asked me 3 days ago for that.
Stuff will start moving late Sunday night, but most won't leave China until Tuesday or Wednesday.

That’s right—my case came today via FedEx, and as I recall, all of my watch bands and other random Apple gear has come FedEx as well.

I recall tracking and shipping did not happen until Tuesday/Wednesday before delivery on Friday. They get an extra day with the International Date Line, and I recall last year (and years past) I was shocked how quickly it came from China to my front door in Portland, Oregon. About 48 hours, including delivery. I would not have believed it until I saw it.
my wife's purple 128GB 11 just went to preparing to ship. My 11 pro midnight green 256GB is still processing.
Mine switched to preparing to ship. 512 pro max in green.
I got order in and confirmation email was at 0800 EST, so within a minute of launch.

Frighteningly, yes. Lol. The only reason I remember that FedEx delivered any of mine was because I was super-annoyed that they literally tossed the boxes on my parents’ front porch and didn’t ring the bell or anything. That was back when people would trail the trucks around and steal stuff, before signatures were required for everything, and I was furious at the thought that they could have been swiped.
This was my experience last year. I was in disbelief thinking “there’s no way that’s making it”
sure enough.. out for delivery on launch date. Wild.
Mine also just changed to Preparing to Ship (Pro 256gb space gray ordered at 05:07 pacific). Hoping the delivery date updates to 9/20 when it ships!
Haha, sort of. I want mine! Lol, I did have an issue with initially charging my payment. Chatted online they re ran it and said was good, but no charge yet. Patience patience I guess
Just checked mine and it is now preparing to ship as well! I guess I should never have been worried since the confirmation email literally said ‘shipment 1 on it’.

I guess I’m extra excited because I’ve never preordered a phone before and I never thought I’d be this enthused about an Apple product. But, I’ve been on android for most of my adult life and recently switched to iOS this year in April in the form of an xr. So, now that I’m in love with iOS I preordered the 11 pro and can’t wait either.
Even though I am not worried or concerned because I know it won't change when I get my phone next Friday, I am always curious on the process of when and how everyones orders change to preparing, etc. Obviously not order of when they received the order as my order went in exactly at 8:00 am EDT.
But it is curious how a 9/23 delivery is already preparing to ship over those with a 9/20 delivery.
