Yes it's all public, but now I can relate it to a UPS package, and now I'd be able to create a My Choice account and re-direct the package.

Not only that once you create the my choice account it will not let you manage any packages until you verify their address. So unless you go to their house everyday and wait for the letter from UPS and steal their mail. Good luck...
 
Anyone with multiple orders who had an initial “HOLD” on any of them and now it still shows as “PROCESSING,” you may want to call Apple to confirm your orders.

I just got off the phone with Apple regarding 2 orders I placed at the same time; Order #1 had had a “Hold” on it this morning (I had paid with the new Apple Card) Order #2 did NOT (paid with regular credit card). I received an email asking me to confirm my payment info on Order #1 (the Hold order w/Apple credit card) while Order #2 had already changed to “Preparing for Shipment.” This was around 9:30am. I confirmed the payment, but after several hours, there was no change in status to Order #1, so I called Apple to make sure BOTH my orders were OK.

THANK GOD I CALLED! Turns out Order #1 paid with my Apple credit card had been CLOSED, as in, someone at Apple PHYSICALLY CLOSED MY ORDER, even though I had already confirmed my payment info online this morning, and I hadn’t called or text chatted with ANYONE at Apple until now! I specifically got the Apple Credit card to make this purchase, so WTF!! I had NO idea my Order #1 w/Apple card had been CLOSED, I have a high credit limit and very few purchases so that wasn’t the issue. Anyway, if you are STILL seeing “PROCESSING” on any order and it hasn’t changed to “PREPARING TO SHIP,” you might want to call Apple and check. My rep reopened my order so I still have 9/20 ship date, but literally I wouldn’t have known Order #1 had been closed bc I didn’t received ANY notification or email that it had!! Sheesh!!!
Doesn’t make sense if your order still was showing processing it wasn’t canceled. If it was canceled it would have said so. Your confirmation for the payment probably just hadn’t gone through yet.

Oh ya forgot about that too they mail you a confirmation you need to enter before you get full access.
 
So I have an interesting situation. I have been a part of the Apple upgrade program for three years now, I always upgrade every year in September. I upgraded this year through the upgrade program, linked to my Verizon mobile number. The next day I ported my number out to another carrier which canceled my Verizon account. So far this hasn’t affected my apple.com order, but I freaked out a little bit when I realized I didn’t even think of that as causing a potential problem with my pre-order. Also I thought it was interesting that even though I don’t actually have a contract with Verizon, I was charged a $40 upgrade fee. Had I just selected the unlocked option instead of Verizon I probably wouldn’t have been charged that. Might call and see if I can try fighting that once everything arrives.


I had this happen to me when I got the X. I was with T-mobile but then switched to Verizon. I had to pick it up at Apple store and they had the T-mobile phone for me. When I explained the situation had to go to another store to get the Verizon phone since they didnt have it. So just tell them if they give you the wrong phone.

Mine is the same.

My guess is that for those of us who chose in store pickup, Apple is basically checking the allotment of phones heading to that particular store and just reserving one of them for us. So we might not see an individual shipping notification and tracking number. We might not get a charge on our card yet because don't they charge you once you actually pick it up in store? If you don't show up, your reserved phone will just get repurposed for the walk ins.

I'm fairly certain you do not see those things.

I did pick up in store last year, but I can't recall. I don't think you get a tracking number at all.

Oh are they doing snail mail verification? If so, that's much better. I don't remember having to do a verification when I added addresses to my account.

Yes if you can't do a search by Reference Number based on the 10 digit phone number, you can use the "W" order number from Apple. You are correct just drop the last 2 digits from the full Apple order number to use in the search.

Yes you can order number minus the last 2. But since it’s missing 2 numbers it can be for multiple orders so it doesn’t always find yours.

There’s other ways i think. You may be able to use a CC and billing address as well I don’t remember how I did it.

No you can’t see tracking info. It’s being shipped to Apple not us so we won’t get any of that info.

Contact Apple they may be able to change it or you may be able to return it to an Apple store and re buy it under IUP.

My delivery date fall on 20th September. But order is still processing. I didn't get any further emails.Should I need to contact Apple or need to wait ?

[doublepost=1568481366][/doublepost] I’m literally repeating what my Apple rep told me, he even asked me who I had spoken to earlier that morning, I said NO ONE, this is the first time I’m contacting Apple regarding my orders. He then asked if anyone had transferred me to him when I called, so I said YES, but they were in the wrong Dept so they transferred me to you. My rep THEN asked if the rep who transferred me was a MALE OR FEMALE, so I said Female, but she couldn’t have closed my order bc I had called the wrong Dept. My rep then said it wouldn’t have been her, bc the person who closed my order was MALE! The Apple reps leave their info on calls/cases after making changes to someone’s account. So YES, my order had been CLOSED by someone MALE sometime this morning, and NO it didn’t reflect on my order status which remained as “PROCESSING” while my other order was already at “Preparing to Ship.” May not make sense, but that doesn’t mean it didn’t happen!!
 
Good plan. If Apple says the date is launch day, no news is good news.

That's what I figure. Sometimes carrier scanning falls way behind actual progress, and since it's being shipped to a store for pickup, if my phone gets delayed I'm likely to have a lot of company, for whatever that's worth. ;) ETA: since it's being shipped to the store, I probably won't see anything until it's ready - I have no anxieties about on-time delivery to the store.

Don't mix up Apple's financing plan( doesn't include AC+) with the Apple Upgrade Program( includes AC+).
I did confuse the two. I didn't know you couldn't trade in when applying for iUP. So then I guess I wasn't paying close enough attention when I selected the payment option.

Let me also reiterate that I had NOT contacted Apple until this call, so whoever closed my order did so on his own, my rep had to get authorization from his supervisor to “Re-Open” my order and ensure I still had the same ship date of 9/20, I’m thinking this was a serious Apple error based on the hoops my rep jumped through to fix my order.

I did the IUP for the first time, ordered yesterday at 8:01 AM EDT got the Apple email like 15 min after and then loan approved email from Citizens about 5-6 hrs later.

I paid using my Apple Card number (not Apple Pay since I couldn't see the option) but I haven't been charged yet, my order status is below, anyone on the same boat?

Mine is similar to this. no worries. Apple doesn't charge you this early. I think it doesn't go through until pickup.
