Oh are they doing snail mail verification? If so, that's much better. I don't remember having to do a verification when I added addresses to my account.

I believe there are some other ways. I recently added a new address and did not need to verify. I called and was told that If the name was the same as the one on the account with an already verified address and had received I believe it was 3 packages at the new address within the last 30 days it automatically verified.

I did the IUP for the first time, ordered yesterday at 8:01 AM EDT got the Apple email like 15 min after and then loan approved email from Citizens about 5-6 hrs later.

I paid using my Apple Card number (not Apple Pay since I couldn't see the option) but I haven't been charged yet, my order status is below, anyone on the same boat?

Yes, and I wouldn't worry about it at all. It's extremely unlikely that it won't show up in the store for Friday pick-up.

I had this happen to me when I got the X. I was with T-mobile but then switched to Verizon. I had to pick it up at Apple store and they had the T-mobile phone for me. When I explained the situation had to go to another store to get the Verizon phone since they didnt have it. So just tell them if they give you the wrong phone.
Sorry, I should explain. I ported my number out to google voice, I’ll be putting a different Verizon sim in the device when it comes, so the fact that it’s Verizon is fine. I was just nervous that if they do a “double check” on my Verizon line for upgrade eligibility or something, the line doesn’t exist anymore.

Let me also reiterate that I had NOT contacted Apple until this call, so whoever closed my order did so on his own, my rep had to get authorization from his supervisor to “Re-Open” my order and ensure I still had the same ship date of 9/20, I’m thinking this was a serious Apple error based on the hoops my rep jumped through to fix my order.

Thanks. I will wait another day for any update.

I ordered
64gig Max Pro Silver
Confirmation email at 1.17pm

Status currently is preparing for dispatch
Due 20th Friday

Surprised it wasn’t longer, used to waiting a month after release but I do usually go for higher gig which seems to be the more popular choices

Does anyone do screen protectors for the back of their iPhone? If so which ones? I’ve seen some on Amazon for the camera. What do you guys think of that?

I did confuse the two. I didn't know you couldn't trade in when applying for iUP. So then I guess I wasn't paying close enough attention when I selected the payment option.
I appreciate your post. I just looked at my 4 orders (for my kids) and I did that for one too. I wondered whey the questions they asked were slightly different - I thought it was because that one is a new IUP number and includes a trade in.

I contacted sales support and they said that after sales support can fix or (or cancel the order and start over).

EDIT:
I see the problem. When you trade in, you’d can’t do IUP - it would mess up the math. So when I get the phone, I’ll attempt to change it so I’m doing the trade in separately (getting a Apple credit) but do a regular IUP on that phone.

So we should see an activity tomorrow?

Also, don’t rely on the Apple Store order page to show that it’s shipped: find your tracking info by reference number with UPS. My Apple Watch is in Anchorage already, and my Apple Order Status still shows Preparing to Ship, and I have not received any email notification from Apple.

Same thing last year: I followed my iPhone tracking info on UPS all the way to Louisville before the Apple Order Status page changed to Shipped. Apple sent the Shipped email when the package got to Louisville the day before delivery. It doesn’t always happen this way or for every person, but it does happen.

Seconding this. You should ask if you can cancel the order and rebuy it on the spot via the IUP.

Yes, agreed. Also, after you receive the device, you can take it to an Apple Store within 14 days, and they can resell it to you under the IUP: I’ve done this with an iPhone that I bought unlocked at full price from Apple (one local store said they’d have to get a new phone from stock, but another store just returned and resold the same device without a hitch)
