I see the trade in is $600 for my XS Max. Going to just go ahead and take that rather than screwing with eBay for $100-150 more after fees.
Swappa is tempting because you can get another $150 or so, but damn their buyer protection is pretty unreasonable.

You pretty much have to video yourself packing the device and shipping it or else they will believe anything the buyer says.

Already got my money set aside in savings for the 11 so doing all that isn't worth it.

I am probably going to get the green 11 Pro Max. Thats weird to type. I was able to go through all my preferences in the Apple Store App and "favorite" the model, carrier, storage selection. So assuming we can do per-qualifications for the IUP, it hopefully will be smooth sailing this Friday at 8am EST!

Those that have the Xs max and who are upgrading to the pro, can you tell me why? (Genuine question).

For the first time since 2008, this will be the first iPhone I skip.

On pre order day, how would the Citizen's One loan 0% work with those that had a previous account with them ?

Do I open a new account on that day or can I get pre-approved at Citizen's One before pre-order day as I had a prior loan before ???

Eh I just like to keep up to date. I mean I'm trading in and only paying $500 out of pocket so for me its still worth while. My phone is something I always have and use everyday so its worth it to me to have the latest and greatest. Plus like most closely following this forum we are all a bit crazy.

I am on the IUP. For the same $$ per month, I can have the latest phone. If I wasn't on the IUP I would probably think a lot harder about the hassle of trading in/selling etc. So I suppose for the price of sales tax I can have the newest phone...

I just did my pre approval.

All you have to do is start selecting options.

“Do you have an iPhone to trade in”
“No” if on IUP
Select model color and memory
Select trade in this phone with IUP etc

‘Only £500’ with a trade in lol. I remember when the iPhone 4 was £499.

I guess I’m at that part of my life now where I think it’s crazy to upgrade so much money for something with so little improvements.

Last year I ordered at 3AM and a lot of devices where still available for release day when I woke up about 10AM as well. I think a couple stores also had stock on day 1.

I overslept last year and missed the time by a few hours. I couldn't get mine on launch day but the delay was nowhere near as long as in years past. I think I had to wait an extra week.

The IUP program is just perfect for me. I shudder to think of the dark ages when I had two years contracts and had to pay early upgrade fees.

I also think with the iPhone 11 pre orders launching along side the 11 Pro this year we will see less demand for the Pro from the everyday user. Last year the Xr launched a month later.

Was just able to get through the whole pre-approval process in a matter of minutes--I also used my newly applied for Apple Card. Was super easy.

No IUP. I buy outright.

And I can do this if I buy outright? How long does this process take when checking out?
Here’s what I did last few years: I pre-qualified on IUP to replace my phone with new phone. After I got new phone, I called citizens and paid off my old phone balance so I could keep the old phone vs. send it back.
You can also pay off now, but I didn’t want to make things complicated at checkout and it was really smooth to do an IUP upgrade.

I think we got an email last year offering for us to pre-qualify and upgrade before the pre-order opens....if I remember that right.

Net: you can time after preorder to decide if you want to trade in or buy out your old phone.

Pre-approval is live for the iPhone upgrade program!

I had to manually enter my Apple Card number and expiration date stuff. It didn’t offer to auto fill.

Pre-approval is live and I'm pre-approved.

If you do in store pickup the trade in is still shipped. You can't do in store trade in unless you do the whole purchase in store and doing that you can't pre order.

With the changes I don't think demand will be as high. So the time change won't really matter.
I probably got them mixed up as I was thinking the trade in for iUP.

When they ask for the preapproval shipping address I'm assuming that on preorder day we can choose store pick up?

Edit: Chatted with Apple and they confirmed you can still do store pickup.

Flight tracking is my favorite too and everyone in the threads talking about how our phones are on the same plane :D
