I must say last year with the XR was my first time ever pre-ordering an iPhone and joining in on the festivities of tracking it all the way from China to its new home :) This community actually made getting a new iPhone a lot of fun for a newbie to the forums ;) I'm skipping over the 11 this year but me and my Blue XR are here waiting to watch this years festivities and offer any newbies moral support if needed :D

I went with Space Gray as I always go with Space Gray and nothing else. 11 Pro Max (*ugh, I hate that naming scheme) 256 GB.

I just applied and got pre approved for an iPhone 11 64GB - Citizen's One loan for $29.12/month but when I opened up my email to see the the Preapproved phone link, I get a iPhone Upgrade Program page.

Did I do something wrong ?

I thought I was just getting the 24 month financing at 0%.

For those who were already enrolled in the the iUP, this years preapproval didn’t trigger a hard pull on your credit, correct? In the past it’s been a soft pull, but figured I’d ask.

Thanks in advance!

anyone else getting an error when attempting to enter cellular info for T-Mobile preapproval? is it just because i’m on an employee discount line? i thought it shouldn’t matter as i’m not financing via T-Mobile

Time will tell. I was surprised it had me go through the whole thing again and enter my social and all that.

I tired the get preapproved on my existing iUP and it says I can’t since I have an order pending. I’m with Verizon and no pending orders. Any clue why I’m getting this message?

No worries. The hard inquiries go away fast. I learned that with the whole Apple Card thing

Enh, they last 2 years. Not a huge deal but they definitely don’t go away fast.

Whatever the case, I’m still upgrading lol. Was just curious.

Either way doesn’t matter. UPS delivers them to Apple on Friday same as they do to us
Generally speaking Apple stores will have a solid batch of phones there probably by Wednesday, Thursday at the latest.

they for sure won’t have 0 phones until Friday morning.

thinking of trading x for 400 and buying an pro.

will they charge full amount and refund the credit or return in gift card lol. dont really wanna get stuck with gift card and would rather have taken off the overall total bill.

any one did trade in before?

Trade in fine print:

Here’s how Apple Trade In works.
You’ll get a trade-in email.
It explains how to get your old device ready to ship and how to track your trade-in status.
You’ll receive a trade-in kit.
It includes a box, prepaid shipping label, and instructions on how to prep your device.
You’ll ship your old device within 14 days.
Once we get it, a team inspects and verifies the condition. If everything checks out, we credit your original payment method and you’re all done. And if you pay using Apple iPhone Payments, the trade-in value is credited up front toward your monthly payment amount.

If there’s any remaining amount, we’ll send you an Apple Store Gift Card by email.

adding to front page.

* Trade In: Trade‑in values vary. iPhone 11 Pro promotional pricing is after trade‑in of iPhone X in good condition. Additional trade‑in values require purchase of a new iPhone, subject to availability and limits. Must be at least 18. Apple or its trade-in partners reserve the right to refuse or limit any Trade In transaction for any reason. In‑store trade‑in requires presentation of a valid, government-issued photo ID (local law may require saving this information). Sales tax may be assessed on full value of new iPhone. Additional terms from Apple or Apple’s trade-in partners may apply. Monthly pricing: Available to qualified customers and requires 0% APR, 24‑month installment loan with Citizens One, and iPhone activation with AT&T, Sprint, T‑Mobile, or Verizon. Full terms apply.

Any benefits to buying through apple vs verizon and sim free vs verizon? Paid in full if that matters. I want to be able to use FI when I travel internationally and use verizon on the esim the rest of the time
