Looking forward to getting mine.

Also looking forward to the detailed Anandtech review. It will undoubtedly generate large volumes of rage when they test the A13.

I don't understand why everyone is banging on about 5G so much - there is barely any coverage anywhere in the world yet. Certainly for mobile phones I get 60mps on 4G in London... that's 3 time faster than a lot of peoples home broadband.

5g for home broadband is where it's at.

Maybe 20 MBPS (60/3) is "fast" in London but that is snail pace for home internet here in the USA. My basic cable internet through the local ISP is consistently pulling 175-200 MBPS here in the USA. And I'm nowhere near a big city.

That 200mbps is designed to be shared among multiple connections. A single device rarely actually needs that sort of speed unless you are doing mass transfers of data.

With the iPhone 11 being the third iteration of the X design, next year should hopefully be a complete redesign which makes it more than just an S.

...unless Apple go with the same design for a 4th year :|
Honestly, how can people get over a design so quickly? I mean, obviously it’s always nice to have a new design, but I’m much more interested in upgraded internals. I’d take that any day over a completely new design.

Sure but do you only have a single device in your home? At any one time I am using internet for my Nest doorbell, 3 Nest cameras, a Smart TV, an iPhone, and streaming services...bandwidth is needed in the modern age.

You missed my point entirely. My point was it isn’t fair to say an iphone should have bandwidth comparable to a home connection, because a home connection supports many devices.

It's a great design, but it's near the end of its run now. next year we are likely to have an all new design AND upgraded internals. Then, that design is likely to stick around for a couple of years or so too.

So your home Internet is 1.6Gbps?!
[doublepost=1568729648][/doublepost]I agree with the point about 5G being next-to-useless. You're only going to get it if you're in very close proximity to an atenna and it's going to take a long time to build it out to the density it needs to be ubiquitous. Meanwhile I get 120Mbps on 4G on my iPhone 6. I expect my new 11 Pro to do better. 120Mbps is already fast enough for the entire useful life of the device.

I have tried, as a tech enthusiast and an early adopter I have tried, but I just can't bring myself to get the iPhone 11 Pro and move on from my iPhone X. Last year the XS did nothing to tempt me, and again this year I just find the iPhone 11 Pro to be, a bit boring. £1K+ worth of boring to be precise.

I frequently buy new tech and I am desperate to buy a new gadget, but I am confident that next years iPhone will be the one to get. Announce the Apple tags Apple and give me something to spend my money on!!

I have a question for you and everyone else. What do you think next years iPhone will have that makes it so compelling that it would be the one to wait for and not get this iPhone 11 pro?

I’ll tell you what, same updates to existing things. Screen, camera, speakers, battery etc. it will have 5g but as far as new breaking technology there won’t be much to expect.

Do you need the camera? ie. are you a filmmaker or is the camera crucial to your day to day life? If the answer is yes then its simple, get the Pro. If the answer is no, then don't waste money on something you don't need. Don't fall for lust or desire when your life will not improve in any way. You will just be wasting money.
Regardless of what others tell you about resell value etc. - its all pointless as there will be some money wasted and its not worth it. But what you need, glitter won't make you happier. :)
The money you save can generate more income whilst you are waiting for the thing that you actually need. Be smart with your money and worth :)
