Well lucky for you this is your year 😂🤣
Well - no. Why should anyone update, seriously? I’m still happy with my 11pro. There is not a single App that doesn’t run or feels slow and it takes awesome pictures.

The 15pro will be heavier and chunkier, with a huge camera bump. And after one week or two I’m used to it again and it’ll sit in a case.

I had to buy a new washing machine/dryer this year and I’m not going to buy another one next year.

The smartphone hype is over, it changed the world for sure - like a washing machine and a fridge did. But no one gets excited about it anymore.

Well, I was responding to "dameatball" who said he wouldn't upgrade until USB-C was out, so it's HIS lucky year.

As for updating, I buy an iPhone ever year from my phone service provider, and "upgrade" to the new one and give the old one back.

Of course, as a daily 11 Pro user, you don't actually have any real-world daily experience of the benefits of the 12, 13 or 14, so you're not actually able to speak to any personal daily experience with those devices, and if you claim you can because you've used a friend's or something a few times, well, you don't "actually" know.

That said, I have older iPhones too (not all went back) and... for the everyday things, even an iPhone 8 still gives a very iPhone experience.

I do lots of video and appreciate the improvements each year with lens, video and audio quality, and I eagerly await the new iPhone Pro models each year for the improvements.

Is that for everyone? Definitely NO. You're a fine example. I know plenty of people with older iPhones, and unless they're on an iPhone 5, the ones who can run the latest OS, they're all happy. I even know plenty of happy Android users, but they have even less experience about constant daily usage of a 14 Pro Max than daily 11 Pro users. Or iPhone 8 users.

If I only had an 11 Pro available to me, I'd use it the exact same way as I use the 14 Pro Max now. I'd really miss dynamic island, I'd miss the larger screen size, I'd miss the extra zoom, I'd miss the better photo and video quality, I'd miss the brighter screen, I'd miss the premium ultra fast speeds at all times, I'd miss the 5G, but I'd still use the iPhone the same way.

iPhone users are very lucky that Apple is so fanatical about supporting older devices for years longer than the competition, that's for sure. :)
