When out and about and wearing a mask?
Being able to use Face ID again was my favorite thing when mask mandates finally dropped. If I had known there was going to be a pandemic I likely would have kept my 7 Plus instead of upgrading to an 11 Pro Max in 2019. I must have entered my passcode over a thousand times over two years or so.

Anyway, I kept my 7 Plus for three years, may upgrade to the iPhone 14 series this year. Don't know yet. The 11 Pro Max still works SO WELL so this may be the first phone I keep for four years since my Palm Treo 650 from 2005 to 2009.

Yeah I absolutely agree, but it was mostly mitigated by Apple Watch Unlock

Want to upgrade from my iPhone 11 but no usb-c could be a dealbreaker for me. Might just switch the battery in my 11 and wait another year.

As a still quite satisfied 11 Pro user (who upgraded from a 6s just 2 years ago), some of those 14 Pro "features" are negatives for me:

flat sides? No thanks.

larger size? No thanks.

no Midnight Green? aw, hell no!

The other stuff is nice, but I already go 2 days between charges, can read my screen just fine in bright sunlight, have plenty of storage, and have plenty of speed and power. Notchless would be nice, but unless Apple can improve my carrier's performance, the notchless screen isn't enough to inspire me to upgrade yet.

Nothing on that list makes me feel the need to upgrade from my 11 pro. Still does everything I need it to and well. May treat myself to a new case.

I think if I could trade my 12 pro in for a very reduced cost 13 pro (once the 14 is out) I’d probably consider it.

I actually upgraded to an 11 Pro only last year. The phone just fits better in the hand because of the rounded edges. The square shape was perfect for the smaller form factor iPhones but not larger ones. I'm going to hold on until it loses support.

I think we've gotten to a point where specs on paper are meaningless. Most of the advantages the newer models provide don't even apply to me. I don't game or watch movies on my phone - I use it for calls, text, email, maps and banking. The 11 Pro does all of that perfectly well. And most people don't have mmWave 5G. The only thing that piques my interest is better battery life and USB-C. Not enough to upgrade.
My needs are the same as yours, but the camera improvements and the battery life are what really lured me in.

The iPhone 11 Pro still remains my favorite iPhone and I will not upgrade until there’s no support. The 14 will not fit my needs because it will only come in giant sizes. I prefer the smaller size of the 11 pro as well as the rounded edges, it fits more comfortably in my hand. The 11 pro is also the most stable iPhone I have ever used and has not had a single bug. The 11 pro is just perfect I use it and it does everything I want it to do without any issues. The camera doesn’t need to be any better for me because I already go on topaz editor and my photos are already perfected. The A13 has plenty of processing power for a phone. If I need to do an intensive thing that requires a lot of power, I will just use my powerful macbook.

I’m still on my launch JB 128 GB iPhone 7. How blown away am I going to be when I update this fall? I’m either going 13 mini or 14 pro. Not sure yet. It’s really a choice between 120hz or comfortability for me!

Also I think updating every 6 years is the new 2 years. I used to update every 2 years starting with the 4. Once I got the 7 I saw no need to update since my phone never slowed down with updates and I couldn’t justify spending $800-$1000 every 2 years on a phone. I don’t think I’m alone and Apple knows this. I am exited for this fall though!

I am going from the iPhone 6 Plus to the 14. I bet there are even more new features that it will be hard to figure them all out. The biggest feature will be that the memory isn't always full though.

Unfortunately apps and safari will reload after 30 seconds. Memory doesn’t solve this iOS software “feature”.

I have the 11. The biggest problem is the intel modem. It's crap compared to the qualcomm modem. The modem determines how good the phone calls are, so I think that's an important factor when considering an upgrade. Especially when you live in a hilly area like California where reception can be spotty.

I don't see why the connector means so much to everyone. Sure, it's nice to have a universal standard, but we all have tons of lightning cables kicking about, and it's smoother to plug in. Not exactly a big deal, but the connection speed should help once every 12 months when I offload my pics and videos.

Waiting for the usb-c model. Whenever that is 🙃
This is the correct answer. I won’t invest in another propietary, slower method of charging. The entire world uses one cable, I will not use lightning past my current iPhone. I’ll use android before that happens.

Well lucky for you this is your year 😂🤣
