While the iPhone 15 Pro has yet to launch, several new features have already been rumored. Following our iPhone 12 Pro vs. iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro vs. iPhone 15 Pro comparisons, we have now put together a version for the iPhone 11 Pro.

While year-over-year iPhone upgrades are not always significant, new features begin to stack up over multiple generations. For this reason, the iPhone 15 Pro will be a notable upgrade for those who still have a four-year-old iPhone 11 Pro.

The list below includes major iPhone changes introduced since 2019, as well as new features rumored for iPhone 15 Pro models.

My iPhone 11 Pro died last week. Was planning to hold out and get the 15 Pro, but went ahead and bought the 14 Pro

Let me tell you - what a MAJOR upgrade the 14 Pro is. The iPhone changed a lot over 4 years. You don’t appreciate it year over year. But Apple is on a continuous improvement march

I'm using an 11 Pro, and plan to upgrade to the 15 Pro when they are released.

Mainly I want a better camera (my last upgrade was from the 7 plus to the 11 pro), but I'm a bit worried about the rumours about the Plus/Max/Big/? version will have a better camera compared to the regular pro (that was the reason I got the 7 plus back in the day, and that was just too big for my taste).

I have an iPhone 11 Pro Max which has been slowly dying on me. So far the top earphone speaker has died meaning I can only use the phone in speaker mode. The battery is now at 79% so I have to charge it mid way during the day. The microphone makes weird noises when recording video and it gets very warm when playing SimCity Build It, so much so that the screen dims to its darkest setting and the flash won't work.

I can't wait to replace it with a 15. It's going to be weird going from lightning to USB charging - it felt wrong with my iPad Pro, so this will take some adjusting. I also don't know what I'm going to do in my car as i have a head unit with lightning on. I guess I'll need to find an adapter or something as I use CarPlay for everything.

I came from an 11Pro to a 14Pro, the biggest change for me was the addition of MagSafe, I use it all the time and absolutely love it. The slightly bigger screen is a bonus and I prefer the flattened edges of the 14Pro but I still maintain the 11Pro held out longer for battery use.
I personally don’t see much of a change with the camera but the night photos on the 14Pro are a huge upgrade.

Here's an alternative to upgrading. As long as your 11 Pro is in decent shape (no broken glass), Apple will replace the battery for $89. In some cases this may mean getting a brand-new or completely refurbished device, meaning you lose some minor scuffs and hairline scratches on the screen!

Take the difference between that $89 and the cost of a brand-new iPhone 15 Pro and put it into Apple stock.

"increased drop performance" - there's got to be a better way to describe the effectiveness of the glass.

One thing that I didn't see was charging speeds. Hopefully the iPhone 15 with USB-C port will allow for faster charging. iPhone 11 Pro maxed out around 20W I believe. iPhone 14 Pro at 30W? I have a 60W USB-C charger for my Macbook, will Apple take advantage of it on the iPhone15, idk.

Adapters and cables are abundant. Think of it as yet another Apple-driven dongle to own. This time though, you are converting FROM proprietary TO an industry standard (hopefully).

As someone who used to upgrade iPhones every single year I stuck with the 11 Pro Max, mainly because I find the square design from the 12 onwards really uncomfortable to hold and too heavy on the Max models which are my preference. What are the benefits of the titanium frame and how likely are the rumours of more rounded edges to be true? The latter is something I really want back.

Battery, camera and performance on this phone is still excellent in all honesty.

I'm holding out another year for that reason, when the smaller pro will reportedly get that same camera
