It's weird that in the land of suing people/companies, that this is not required. Get in an American car, and you'll have warning labels all over (side-mirrors, radio, glove compartment, and so on). If these are necessary, shouldn't one be worried Americans just dumping their phones in the trash ?

Just as much as the needed "Objects in (the) mirror are closer than they appear" in cars, to ensure that every driver isn't just crashing in to each other 🤣

Trouble with the mirror statement is that it is so questionable!

If you are fully aware of the effects of curved mirrors, your perception (how things appear to you) will have taken that effect fully into account. Hence objects will no longer be closer than they appear.

That's part of Europe, no?
But we are leaving the EU (not Europe) and are in a transition period so it’s a good question. Personally whether you are pro EU or a Brexit voter I think it does spoil the look of the phone having symbols engraved on that good looking frame.

Europe is geographical region that includes lots of countries not part of EU.

Amazing that EU always is the culprit in these threads. UK and USA is not really famous for not having lots of bureaucratic procedures, are they? So perhaps not how stones in a glass house?

Ewww, WTF Europe. I usually support EU regulations in terms of fairness and their push for USB C, but this is not something I can tolerate. All this information can be readily consulted in the Settings app and documentation that comes in the box, I don't need to see it printed on my device.

Yeah, they're useless in a product like this and just ruin it.
At least now they're on the side and not on the back of the phone, they're less visible this way.

A case will be able to hide CE marks, new flat edges, the whole color of the iPhone, a case can hide even the full moon in the sky if you will…

iPhone 11 didnt have any marks in any place, this marks are ugly and they are intrusive in the design. couldnt be under the device?

Very subtle, but it’s there.

Yeah, but always on the back. This execution is worse than ever.
Yea you initially said "I sure as hell don’t want a garbage can etched in on the side of my $1000 phone. Is this a joke?"
The garbage can was etched onto the back before.
Either way, you have a garbage can etched into your iPhone :D

Key word being ON THE SIDE! 😂 I would have been totally fine with it on the back, like previous years.
