Quite unnecessary. The vast majority of users don't know the meaning of these labels and don't care for them. Likely a bureaucratic invention of little help and significance.
I keep wondering whether Apple should implement a no-notch software option. Then more nonsense about a notch.
Wow talk about a camera bump. 😳I wonder what phone they'll get then because literally every phone has those markings in Europe. 🤣
Samsung maybe?

Not even sure why this is worthy for a MacRumors article. All phones, including iPhones, have had these markings since forever.
It’s not phone centric. You have to have them on everything. When you consider baby toys, for example- you can see the benefits.
No, no, no cases ever.
You have no clue what you are talking about. Try to live in Canada for a while and then you will appreciate EU more. Just the fact that Canada has only 1 year warranty but EU has 2 as a standard is one of those things that you appreciate once you lose it. I've moved from EU to Canada 2 years ago and I'm shocked how much crap is allowed here that would never fly in EU.
EU is not perfect, but consumers are very well protected and the system is beneficial to most unlike here.
Not to mention the amount of chemicals etc. that is allowed here to be put in the food which is banned in EU.
So next time you say something uninformed, maybe do a little research before.
OMG. I hadn’t seen that before. Have you seen the font? It’s hideous!
I'll take liberty over protection from being robbed or poisoned, thanks. Indeed, give me the old west, and I'll enforce my standards of respect as long as I survive (probably a week or two...).
It also says:At least on there it does say "In most cases, you must apply the UKCA marking to the product itself or to the packaging."
From 1 January 2023, the UKCA marking must, in most cases, be affixed directly to the product. You should start building this into your design process ready for this date.
I'm very aware of the regulations, and I don't disagree with requiring them somewhere. But there's no good reason for requiring them on the body of a phone rather than in an accessible location within its software
Not that I care but I ordered the iPhone 12 Pro in the US and I am moving to Europe in January. Guess my phone will be an exception.
Wow talk about a camera bump. 😳
