Yes the iPhone 4 edge design was my favorite. Glad to see it's back.Welcome back to the iPhone 4/5 era! *thumbs-up*
1200 nits,
2,000,000:1 contrast ratio,
Dolby Vision, HDR10,
460ppi OLED display
Wow, and this is just the 12, not even the Pro.
I guess that’ll make all those happy who complained about 326ppi LCD on the 11 last year
That was my question as well.Because it's true. What's your point?
So what's your point? We should cease all entertainment?Covid, social unrest, global warming, widespread conflicts... but thankfully we can play some dumb League of Legends mobile games...
18% annually sure adds up, doesn’t it? You aren’t the target upgrader if you have an iPhone 11.This is our fastest cou chip yet in history!! 18% faster then our previous chip
We hear that everyyear lol
? This is a huge upgrade over the 11, infact its an upgrade over the 11 Pro in a lot of ways, and at $200 less. The Pro's maybe are a little lacklustre this year by comparison, but the entry storage bump to 128GB improves value there too.Are they just banking on 5g for people to upgrade? Nothing else is much of an upgrade.

I'm fine with my iPhone 8 - just wish for a larger screen for my overworked eyes - not going to give Apple 2 grand for the privledge though (incl local sales tax)
This just makes me appreciate how Jobs could be the sole speaker to handle the entire announcement.
This is weird, though is it something to do with any extra CDMA stuff some US carriers require? (I don't actually know which US carriers are GSM and which are CDMA, but as most of the world uses GSM, making a new CDMA 5G iPhone just for a couple of US carriers might explain the extra cost?)This is pretty crappy marketing from Apple. The 12 is actually $829. The $799 price point is only for AT&T and Verizon because of a $30 carrier special offer.
It’s not extra cost. It’s Apple allowing AT&T and Verizon to do a $30 “special offer” and then showing that $30 reduction as the starting price of the phone. It’s dishonest because it only applies to those carriers. This is weird, though is it something to do with any extra CDMA stuff some US carriers require?
