Well if a GSM iPhone costs $450 to make, and the CDMA version costs $480 (for example) then it's nice of them to only charge $799 for anyone wanting a GSM phone rather than just making it $829 across the boardIt’s not extra cost. It’s Apple allowing AT&T and Verizon to do a $30 “special offer” and then showing that $30 reduction as the starting price of the phone. It’s dishonest because it only applies to those carriers.
