The notch doesn't bother me. Not one bit. I never even notice it.

With the exception of 5G, I don't see a compelling upgrade here. The whole camera thing is WAY over hyped. What you shooting on that thing, an IMAX production of Apollo 11 or something? It's for taking cat pictures and pictures of pretty sunsets, and selfies.

I'll be sticking with my Xr for a while. Especially since they dropped the blue colored model (which I really like the color of) and no real reason to switch up.

My wife has an iPhone 8, and it's time for her to grab a new one. Battery is kaput and it's showing it's age.

If the 5G is phenomenal at my office, I may jump on it. But if the coverage is as bad as the 4G with VZW, OR they finally put WiFi in this dump, I'll ride what I got for a while.

With more DRAM does it mean Apple will stop dumbing down iOS/iPadOS? Background multitasking limit on iOS/iPadOS 13 has been reduced to a useless 20 seconds for things like active SSH session with Termius when it used to be 10 minutes with iOS <=6 and 3 minutes with iOS 7 thru 12.

If this 5.4 inch phone is really not a "Pro" model, I'm going to be severely disappointed. Stop making the phones bigger. Or at least offer different sizes of the same phone since, you know, people's hands are different sizes.

People with little hands are making all the decisions these days. Ironic isn't it?

Seems like the 11 is the last mainline iPhone with LDC (along with the smaller screen 8SE / 9 that is coming out in a couple of months). Rumor is everything is going OLED otherwise, plan accordingly.

Actually, 7GB is the ideal amount. Think about it. 7-Elevens. 7 dwarves. 7, man, that's the number.

Very cool. Looking forward to this! That said, I don't think I've bumped into the ram limits of my current phone. Hopefully battery life will be better (it's amazing now, but I'm a sucker for battery life). Not really interested in 5G as I am lucky to use 4+GB of LTE a month (wifi ftw).

I really hope for USB C. But based on their reaction to Europe - my guess is this won't happen. One can definitely hope tho.

Isn't the 5.4" iPhone suppose to be the rumored iPhone SE that's going to be based on the iPhone 8 which has a 5.4" screen? That would give you:

6.7-inch iPhone 12 Pro Max
6.1-inch iPhone 12 Pro
6.1-inch iPhone 12
5.4-inch iPhone SE2

You know what I mean. Look at the solutions of the other manufactures (glory hole or MUCH smaller notch) and you'll see that a notch that wide already started to look dated in 2019, let alone 2020. I don't care if Face ID technology needs more space, the design of this huge notch is not looking like a premium smartphone anymore.

No. The SE2/iPhone 9 is rumored to be a different device with a 4.7" screen.

The SE2 is supposed to be a different phone.
