About damn time. If the upgrade is only $100 more for 128gb more, then I may consider a jump to 256gb.

Kinda funny, it's the same amount of storage as the previous generation MacBook Pro base model.
Haha exactly my thought. Could you imagine if they didn’t double the storage of the Macs, and we had a phone with the same amount of storage as a computer?

I really hope they keep the same size for the 12 Pro from the 11 Pro.

In the past, Apple used to put faster storage chips in the higher capacity models. Not sure if that will continue this year, but I might be inclined to opt for the 256GB option over 128GB, not because I need the space but because the performance bump of their older models between the base tier storage and the upper two tiers has been significant.

This guy just keeps making stuff up. There's no way any iPhone will come with 128GB storage as the lowest tier.
A very big part of 's profits ($Billions) come from up selling to higher storage at an exorbitant markup
MacBook Pro, MacBook Air, iPad Pro, and Mac mini have all gotten double storage at the same price points in 2020. I fully expect apple’s flagship products to get the same.

What has he been making up? He's been as reliable as anyone this year with regards to leaks.

  • So are we just going to ignore the fact that the 5.4" is smaller than the current (small) 11 Pro?
  • Are we looking at a small and medium 12, and slighter larger and much larger 12 Pro?
  • What is going on with these screen sizes?
  • I have an 11 (6.1")and am ready to trade in for a 5.8" 11 Pro because the 11 is too big.
    • When I upgrade to the 12, will I get a smaller phone at 5.4"
    • I thought the bezel size was going down → larger screen in the same body.

the only new size is the 5.4, personally id recommend the 12 pro for you.

I can't go back from the larger size since having the original 6 plus. Its just so much easier to read on it.

I don’t think anyone is really ignoring it... it has been rumoured for some time now:

5.4” and 6.1” iPhone 12 (the base trim iPhone with Face ID is basically getting an additional size)
6.1” and 6.7” iPhone 12 Pro (the higher trim iPhone with Face ID has both sizes getting slightly increased)

I’d have to imagine the bezel size shrinking along with the stainless steel flat edges will be designed for the 12 Pro, and the 12 will get slightly reduced bezels as well since they’re moving to OLED from LCD.

Ignore him, clearly doesn’t want to believe leaks and thinks we are in 2003 where we only know what happening with releases when apple announces them.

I’m happy with the leaks and everything. However, after read Jon Prosser’s tweets and watching his videos, it is clear he has a huge ego.

Every time I hear the term “pro” applied to a phone, I envision a call center full of people all talking on iPhones. That’s a “pro” phone. Otherwise, it’s just a phone with more features. Pro indeed.

I have a pro coffee mug. It holds a whopping 8-ounces vs. non-pro cups of 6-ounces for my peasant guests.

I mean for a pro model you can't offer it at lower storage levels then mid range phones start with... all i have to say, its about damn time!

128GB? Does anybody really need more than 16GB with iCloud?

Forgot the sarcasm disclaimer :)

The iPhone 11 will need to have a sizable price drop in 4 months. The extra storage, OLED screen and Qualcomm 5G modem are noticeable upgrades over the traditional processor/feature upgrades we normally see.

Personally for me, storage has never really been an issue. I’m still using 64 GB and have 49.7 GB still available. For some of us, we’re not really intensive in terms of media/photos or any type of gaming applications, ect. But given I’m not the ‘norm’ like the majority of consumers, I do think it makes sense for Apple to start these devices at 128 GB, given How iOS updates, 4K video/photos, gaming apps, all contribute to consuming storage very quickly, or I think 128 GB really is almost necessary for a base model.
