FOR REAL!All these renders with impossible-to-use-thin bezels... Idiotic designers.
Huh? The prices have already been leaked. So yeah your post makes little sense.Taking bets on the price hike. Do I hear a $500? $500? Going once...Yes $550, to the man in the front. Do I hear $600?...
I guess it made sense to arrive given they did the same with the iPads,MacBooks and likely Apple TV too for exampleIts great to see Apple finally catching up in this department. I've never understood why a company that enjoys so much revenue from services has been happy to sell devices with such small storage capacities? Having more space will encourage people to download more surely?
128Gb will be a welcome upgrade for many I think!![]()
Its one of those weird features that is relatively cheap in the grand scheme, but Apple have very carefully refused to make it available and charged the consumer handsomely for increased tiers.I guess it made sense to arrive given they did the same with the iPads,MacBooks and likely Apple TV too for example

True, I know very few people who keep media on their iPhones now but onboard storage is helpful when 4G coverage is still so hideously poor in many parts. I have a 64Gb iPhone and rely heavily on iCloud and and Amazon Music, but I'd like more physical storage as a backup too. It doesn't hurt to offer better physical storage tiers going forward I don't think and if its now 128Gb as standard, there is less need to pay for additional iCloud storage which is better for the consumer. Apple may lose revenue to a degree on storage, but they'll encourage those who suddenly have more storage to invest in more services I would say.Isn’t the whole point of streaming services that you can save space by streaming them as and when you need, rather than always keeping them on your device?
For example, Apple Music or Spotify means you don’t need a local music library.
iCloud lets you store your photos in the cloud while keeping low-red thumbnails on your device.
The exception is that Apple Arcade needs you to download the games first before you can play them.
More storage means more content to download / more use and ultimately more money for Apple. This is a good move, if true.
the iCloud Storage option must be increase x2
$0.99 50GB >> 100GB
$2.99 200GB >> 400GB
$9.99 2TB >> 3TB
Because 64GB wasn’t enough so had to buy the 256GB version which was £1,299. 128GB is enough for me. I have like 110GB spare on my iPad Pro with 128GB so that will be the sweet spot for me
Every time I hear the term “pro” applied to a phone, I envision a call center full of people all talking on iPhones. That’s a “pro” phone. Otherwise, it’s just a phone with more features. Pro indeed.
I feel like I'm going to regret buying an 11 at this rate.![]()
The point is due to the price change i won’t be spending anywhere near as much for un-needed storage. Granted the difference this year is only £100 Most likely a saving is a saving. So you already spent money on a more expensive 256. That money is gone and won’t come back. Next time around you might spend less.
128 is a sweet spot - I had to go with the 256 for my 8-plus as 64 GB wasn't enough.
Now the bigger question is how much will they charge for the ram.
I’d just be happy with an iCloud option to store data without syncing it! I’d pay more for that.
128GB? Does anybody really need more than 16GB with iCloud?
Seriously? My iPhone is using 32 gigs with 1000 photos stored locally.
Personally I have no idea why anyone needs more unless they're recording 4k stuff.

I use iCloud Drive. It does not have an option to store data without it syncing back to the local drive.Like iCloud Drive?
Just not a necessary given that it will lead to that. Just more capable devices in general for the moment. Not every user will change their habit or lives on the edge of their storage capacity.
