An alleged photo of an iPhone 12 or iPhone 12 Pro logic board is circulating on social media, as noted by the Twitter account L0vetodream. It is unclear exactly which model the board corresponds with at this time or if it is legitimate.

The board does not provide us with many visual clues, but one notable aspect is that it has a more elongated design as opposed to the more compact boards seen in recent higher-end iPhone models. Fine print indicates that the board was manufactured in the 40th week of 2019, aka the first week of October.

It appears that Samsung will remain one of Apple's suppliers of flash storage for iPhones. Earlier this month, leaker Jon Prosser claimed that the entire iPhone 12 lineup will start with 128GB of storage, up from 64GB currently.

Look at the lower left corner of the board, the screw holes on the left, and the inside corner of the L... that's not single layer.

The right side is what single layer looks like.

Yep, you're right. We're fixing the story. We were thrown off by the elongated design more similar to the single layer boards of the past.

Wow it feels like apple is getting worse and worse at containing leaks. Feels like we've had some new ones everyday lately.

To be honest... Not really. Literally ever year since the original iPhone, there are leaks. Logic boards have been leaking since at least 2014 or 2015.

The iOS/macOS leaks are way more common these days though. I can agree to that.

But since the iPhone 4 launched we haven’t had a FULL real/functioning product leak. It’s just bits and pieces within the phone and some schematics.

Apple can’t contain everything unfortunately.

I wish websites would gather all these leaks and renders throughout the year(s) and do a "rumor report card" when the products actually launch.

Because I'm gonna forget about this motherboard in 5 months when the next iPhone comes out. :)

I’ve been saying this for years! Hahah. When the new iPhone or OS launches I really am so curious as to what leaked accurately, who was right (or wrong) etc. I think it’s good info, but clearly the rumor sites don’t care enough to do a roundup.

Somebody has got to come up with some better battery technology. It just floors me how much of the devices we have are almost all batteries. If we had a better smaller battery we could have better cameras, better speakers and other phone components.
Samsung is working on this. Their solid state battery tech looks really promising. 50 days on one charge? Count me in!!

Looks legit. Confirms the SIM slot has moved to the opposite side of the iPhone.

I have an iPhone 8 and have zero idea how its logic board looks like… but now I know how the iPhone 12's logic board is like. That's amazing. 😁

USB-C please.
Give us some logic: usb c on Macbook, head phone jack on Macbook, lightning on iPhone, usb c on iPad pro, lightning on iPad...
Come on Apple, you can do it.
In 2021 Apple might remove charging ports altogether, skipping USB-C and embrace pad-bound wireless charging and show middle finger to computer connectivity.

USB-C is for iPad Pro and MacBook. Apple hasn’t figured out a way to create a massive glass back on iPad yet.

It's probably an wearable augmented reality logic board which will be on the right side and battery on the left side.
