iPhone 12 Mini Introduced With 5.4-Inch Display, Starts at $699

In a way it's a relief that Touch ID's not there, as given the size and form factor I'd feel obliged to buy one (and turn Face ID off).
My iPhone 8 has plenty of life left in it so this saves some money.
Delicious, love it, been wanting a non-gigantic form factor that didn't feel slow since the original iPhone SE. Sign me up 
I like the idea of the small form factor. I wish they included a telephoto lens instead of wide and wider
This was the time to integrate Touch ID on the side button, just like on the iPad Air 4. I mean, we’re on a pandemic that forces us to wear masks...

I am SO getting this! It's exactly what I've been waiting for: uncompromised Apple tech in a small form factor. Woohoo! And I only have to wait a week for it!
EDIT: Shoot! Only the iPhone 12 is available for pre-order on Friday. The mini is delayed until November. 😞
Not only that, it appears that the only model that's actually $699 is from AT&T. All other models are showing up as starting at $729. WTF?
I just priced out a 256 gb model. With AppleCare (and before trade-in), the phone would cost $1028. I guess I'll just call it a Pro.

Or any USB-C charger. Or just use your existing Lightning -> USB-A cable...

Amazing in a different way that they had the gall to price it at $699 with no headphones or charger 👎
I'm so disappointed and feel terrible that it's $699 with probably 64GB. Why can't Apple make a device that is a "no brainer".
$699 and 128GB would have been a no brainer.
Now they're going to get terrible market research because they aren't getting a clear picture of consumer wants: the small phone is priced at the large phone from last year, so they can't clearly see that people do or do not want a small phone.
the small phone purchase feedback will be tossed in with the people that simply want the cheapest new iPhone. Terrible.
And NO talk about battery life? Prepared to be disappointed 🤦♂️

Interesting note, both iPhone 12 models (non-Pro) are $729 and $829, its only $699 and $799 if you activate it with AT&T and Verizon...
Did I miss it or did they not mention a capacity for the non Pro models? If that's $700 for a 64gb phone in 2020 I'm kinda sad.

Looks like the mini has 5 less hours than the pro max. 12 Pro max has the same battery life as the 11 Pro Max.
They announced the pro models had their base storage bumped to 128GB. To me that means the non-pro editions still start at 64GB.I loved how they never once announced the storage tiers

My 5-year-old (Got it on the launch day!) iPhone 6s can finally retire....!! Was waiting for a new iPhone as my phone started getting slow and randomly turning itself off (100%, suddenly dies, turns back on, 10%... -_-)
Can't wait to get a hold of mini in November.
I was excited when one of the leaks suggested it may come out with a more vibrant purple/violet, personally a bit bummed that purple is not there. But nonetheless, the colours look stunning! Can't wait to get blue.

Who were the analysts that said iPhone 12 mini won't sell as well as the others? I think they're greatly mistaken.
