I noticed a problem with the unlocked screen, it disappears after taking the phone in your hand. Case and screen protector on. Im from Poland.
this is exactly what i have mentioned in #836 same issue here, and i can verify that the same happens with or without case & SP

I have been running the iPhone 12 mini naked (no screen protector or case) for now until my case arrives. I've noticed the screen problem is more noticeable playing Pokemon Go. Tapping is everything when in battle. Tapping the charge button sometimes doesn't respond or a shield will not deploy when I tap the shield button. Swiping the charge animation is like I'm doing nothing. Now I've noticed that how the phone is held makes a difference. If I lay the phone down or pinche the front and back the tapping problem is more noticeable. If I cup the phone in my hand touching the front, back, and metal edge the problem is less frequent. The question I have is it a hardware or software problem?

Apple is still investigating hopefully. We don't know if it's hw or sw.
It's interesting that no YT reviewer mentioned this.

Just received my 2nd Mini. In addition to my wife's Mini this is now the 3rd phone that has the issue with a screen protector (ESR) and case.

If you’re reading this, CALL APPLE!!! Report the issue. Merely complaining on these forums will not urge them to act quickly & find a resolution. They need to understand how widespread this issue is. Thank you!

I replaced my iPhone yesterday at the apple store and it appears that this phone is worse than my first one.. i have no screen protector but a case on and my lock screen sensitivity is still bad.

same happens when i have screen protector on and no case :(

guess its just a waiting game for me

I’m back to running my case.

Just don’t use your thumb to swipe up after unlocking the phone.

Really not a big deal.

Does a 0.15 mm screen protector works perfectly with a case?
I don't know the thickness of my Opamoo screen protector. But I do believe thinner screen protectors give less problems. I only have a problem with the torch button. No problem with swiping at all. I have a Opamoo screen protector and a Apple leather case.

do you have issues with camera or typing in your lock screen code manually? what about taking calls? listening to music?

Ah, it says 0.33 mm. No problems with typing. What do you mean with camera? The camera button? If I am in the camera app via the lockscreen would the phone be unlocked anyway? No problems with taking calls. And no problems with pressing the play button when listening to music.

I haven’t seen this issue on other sites. Maybe if they would write on this topic Apple would take this more serious.

lol everyone exchanging their phones. this is clearly a software issue. it will get resolved. with software.

I tried to find one, no luck. If you find something please let us know.
I found it in a local store, tried to find it online but couldn’t. Below is what I found in my local store.

I am using 0.33mm one because I could not find 0.15mm one myself.

I think there are 3 different thickness glass protectors in the market
0.5mm , 0.33mm and 0.15mm

Mostly if it says ‘thin’, its 0.33mm

I have tried using 0.5 and 0.33
It makes alot of difference however does not solve the issue perfectly.
