I had some time...did a remove and restore from the PB to install 14.2.1.
The lock screen behaves normally now, even Camera and Torch. ;)

Since this is a long thread, I thought it would be easier just to ask my question.

I upgraded to a 12 pro Max and so far haven't had any issues with it. I upgraded to iOS 14.2.1 after getting home, and the phone has been functioning perfectly. I put it in a clear Otterbox style rugged case, and everything just works.

The question is, while this whole topic seems to focus on the mini model of the 12, is there anything at this point I need to concern myself with, or be aware of with the 12 Pro Max? As mentioned no problems to date, and am very pleased with it.

Thanks

Sounds like everything is fine so there's nothing to be concerned with. The particular issue here was specific to the mini model.

Look at those sausage fingers. 😂 How in the world is a person with such thick fingers using an iPhone 12 Mini!?

Just seeing this reminds me what Deadpool said when his hand was cut off (1st movie) - about baby hands lol

maybe that principle applies here? Kinda? Maybe?
