The difference is minimum though...
Unless it was the other way around. Then it would be ‘the iPhone is way behind the competition’
Let's do this test again when the new Samsung phone is released with a new snapdragon chip.
And again and again and again each time new iterations come out. Atm, he iPhone is faster using half the resources. That’s it.

Not really. Samsung was opening apps faster, but now it isn't because the iPhone 12 has a new chip.

And can you play a youtube video on the top of your screen while you text someone on the bottom half at your screen at the same time? My iPhone 11 Pro Max cannot do it, while Samsung phones can do it.

So Apple better also put more RAM in it so we get real multitasking.

Macrumors shouldnt give publicity to these misleading, click-bait videos, you guys realize the opening animation of Apps is hardcoded right? a faster phone wont open most apps faster... and that content loading has more to do with the storage speed, than with the CPU... the only meaningful part of this joke of a video is the Adobe Rush rendering, in any case this comparisons are done to get people arguing with half-baked "proves" that X or Y is Z times better...

Am I missing something? I can do that with my X.

You have youtube and whatapp open both at the same time and they are working fully on your screen? I am missing some kind special swipe?

So you can also have safari and an e-mail app open on the same screen with some kind of special swipe?

I know it is possible on the iPad Pro, but never managed to do this on my iPhone 11 Pro Max.

I disagree. The iPhone finished nearly 20 seconds faster and it only has half the RAM that the Samsung has available.
A better metric is that it finished 12% faster on the first run and 9% faster the second, which is more indicative of everyday performance. Which is not a rounding error, but isn't a huge gap.

The amount of RAM, though, is basically irrelevant--unless there is a demonstrable situation in which one device outperforms the other due to having more RAM, or can do something the other device can't due to lack of RAM, it doesn't matter whether the thing has 1MB or 1TB. There could be cases this is true of, but I'm unaware of any app that only runs on Android phones with 12GB of RAM that won't run on iOS, and the performance is demonstrably better, so it clearly doesn't matter for most real use cases.

I get it--I've got 64GB of RAM in my desktop and 32GB in my laptop. More RAM seems good. But the reality is that I've never once thought "Man, if only I had more RAM" on my phone any more than I've thought "Man, I wish my PS3 had more RAM", so clearly however much is in there is enough to get the job done.

More than the speed itself, it’s how iOS feels faster than Android, thanks to gestures, animations...

Even after all these years, many things in Android don’t feel right, like if the phone had a resistive display - i.e. going back, in iOS it’s a pleasure, from swiping the window along with the gesture, to the screen being responsive in sec. 0 after the action, etc.

And yes, I’ve tried many new Android phones, and that sensation never disappears.

I wouldn't touch WhatApp with a 10 foot pole, but I can do it with any other messaging app. Sure.

I had to read the title a couple times. The "Beats" in the title made me think this was about headphones. It was actually the verb beats. I'm probably the only person that had this issue though. :)
Yeah, same. It's the combination of nouns, adjectives, numbers, and verbs in that sentence structure which jars at a quick read

I love the 6GB over the 4GB on my 11Pro. Do this test with the 11P vs note and it will eat dirt. It’s a huge difference and makes me regret buying the 2018 iPad Pro over the 2020. RAM is critical no matter what the fan boys say. The 12P is one iPhone I wouldn’t mind using 2 years. The 11Pro is lovely but the ram experience made it a crappy feeling device 3/10 times. I am certain my 2018 iPad Pro and 11 Pro will be the iPhone 6 of updates vs the 12Pro and 2020 iPad that’ll be akin to the 6S only due to the ram.

I love my 12 Pro but what has the world come to when we need to save a few seconds when opening apps. People need to experience the world a little more and just enjoy life.
If people aren't wasting time waiting for apps to open, then they have more time to experience the world and enjoy life.

Agree. It's not like the difference is huge that one phone feels fast while the other feels very sluggish. People who concentrate too much into this type of comparison are like trying to win a pissing contest.

My iphone X struggled at times and takes too long some operations. 3GB was always a pinch. My 11 with 4GB does not exhibit slowness..

If Pro Max has stylus and didn't weigh 8 oz I'd feel better. I always keep both platforms as result. DeX is cool and gotten much better.

No one thought odd and off that the Note is stated as using a SD 856? Whereas it has 865+ which did improve on my S20. USF 3.1 helps. UI 3.1 is already in beta for the S22(?).

You do realize you are on MacRumors forum, where every iota about iPhone matters so much, that the earth has been known to stop on its axis due to heated debate here.
