I live not seen any of the 12s in the flesh yet, but I know that the previous Max sizes were too big for me.

Isn’t it great though that we have so much choice?

With next year’s battery improvements, the Pro Max line could finally reach 20 hours of battery life at 120hz. This might be the first time in a while, that I will upgrade two consecutive years. Moreover, within 3-4 years I expect to no longer need my Sony camera.

Well, if Apple proclaims you can shoot 4K HDR movies on it... then 6.7 screen is the minimum screen size needed for that I guess.

You need to watch the Verge’s video. In it they zoom in on that photo and there is no contest, the Pro Max maintains detail while the Pro blurs the fur.

Yes, sort of. Some of the other examples show a blurring off the Max instead, and some show blotchy digitized details where blurring would be preferable.

I am successfully shooting 4K on an older iPhone. Why would I need a bigger screen for HDR filming?

It’s weird you’re feeling forced to buy this. Just get a smaller one? Choose a different brand? How on earth are you forced in to it? The smaller models are far from gimped.

And so that’s great. Stick with what you want. I want a big phone.

Ridiculous.
It’s like saying you’re disappointed that a mac pro is more powerful and has better specs than a MacBook Air.
Yeah, no one has to carry a purse to carry a big phone 😂 It fits in my pocket just fine.

It’s unfortunate that some feel that they have to mock big phones and, by extension, those that carry them.

Large Display

With its super-sized 6.7-inch display, the iPhone 12 Pro Max won't be for everyone, as The Verge's Nilay Patel explains:

HUH? flat sides makes it EASY to hold. Whether you want a case or not is a different story, but flat sides certainly don't make a case more necessary...on the contrary, they make it LESS necessary.
Remember when they said that the curved sides made it slippery and demanded a case? 😂
