iPhone 12 Pro Max Seeing Strong Demand in U.S. as Consumer Spending Rises

i have an iPad Air 4 but I barely use it cuz it’s just more convenient to use the Max for some reason. Also the lack of WhatsApp and Instagram for iPad makes it annoying to keep using two devices. Even when I am on my laptop I keep picking up my iPhone. Habit I guess

the Max also fits perfectly fine in my pockets 🤷🏼‍♂️ Including gym shorts
I know exactly where you’re coming from.

Sounds like you missed the launch of the purple iPhone 12/mini along all major carriers offering $700 in bill credits. It took that kind of effort for the 12 mini to match the sales of the 3-year old iPhone XR.

That's not slow burning sales performance, that's outright embarrassment.

As they say, time is money. Why should Apple settle for that kind of sales performance? It's no wonder they turned to selling a 6.7" mainstream model for 2022.
Yeah I didn’t follow the sales. But how closely were you able follow all of them? How long were the discounts? Were there no major discounts for other iphones? And how do we know how many of the sales came from those discounts? Lot of factors and possible unknowns so it seems hard to say for absolute sure.

Time is money, but some things take time so that there can be more pay off later. I don’t know for sure that that’s the case here, but if it is, Apple is the type of company to have that foresight and patience.

Except it doesn’t fit in my pocket which kinda defeats the purpose of a mobile device in my opinion. But then again, most of the people I know and see with a Max are always on it so there is never a need to put it in their pocket. I guess I just view the world differently than Max users

I wear stretch jeans and have no issues carrying my 12 Pro Max in my pockets. I also have no issues carrying my Pro Max in my mail carriers shorts or pants.

For women, there's no practical difference in phone sizes since it gets stuffed in a purse anyway. At least a bigger phone is easier to find in your purse than a smaller phone.

Surprisingly I own several purses but never carry them. I don’t have an issue carrying my 12 Pro Max.

Wait, every time I read comments on here saying the Mini is the best thing to ever come out of Apple, in the history of Apple, I thought would be at the top of the list, but the Max is apparently doing all the heavy lifting for the iPhone line?

I guess I'm in the "minority" of people who loves their 12 Pro Max.

I love my 12 Pro Max so much, that I’m not upgrading this year. I can’t part with the Pacific Blue color. This year I’m upgrading my S4 to S7. Next year is upgrade year.

If you find women's clothing that has pockets please post the manufacturer. It's unbelievably difficult to find women's clothing with pockets, so if your friends know some share the knowledge.

It's crazy how hard it is to find pockets for women's clothes. For kids, it's practically impossible. It's really weird. Is this a US-only thing or are the lack of women's pockets a worldwide phenomenon?

I don’t wear shirts with pockets, and I buy majority of my jeans from Old Navy, and I have no issues with my 12 Pro Max in my pockets.

Consumers: Pandamic , losing jobs, can't pay rent, default on loans
Also consumers: strong demand and rise in spending

The iphone mini numbers seem similar to SE and Apple has kept the SE for a long time so maybe they will keep the mini too? I am surprised the SE numbers are so low though, a $400 iphone seems the perfect price for many people but nooo people rather pay more for the $600 iphone 11 and the $1K iphone 12 then complain how expensive Apple is. There is no pleasing to these people.

Interesting (and counter-intuitive for me) that
12 pro max > 12 > 12 pro > 12 mini

If I had to guess, it would have been
12 > 12 pro > 12 pro max > 12 mini

I am really surprised about the 12 pro being less preferable than 12 pro max.
yeah, are they accounting for return rates i wonder?

I guess people think bigger is better. But I just don't get the affinity for giant phones; that's what tablets are for.
But now I don’t need to carry around my tablet because a smaller one is in my pocket. Viewing media on it is really great, also considering the only comparable experience to the OLED screen that you can get on an iPad is the giant 12.9in Pro.
