Why would a case need to attach via magnet? It's usually pretty secure and tight.

It seems to snap on with magnets and also needs a way to keep adding other MagSafe accessories since you can combine them.

I've always had to be home to sign for it. I've thus always had it delivered to a UPS store.

I am happy with my iPhone XS Max 512 GB! Can’t afford to down grade to 6.1 inches from 6.5 and in my place iPhone 12 Max Pro costing more than Galaxy Z Fold 2 (comes with all accessories, plus free buds, case, screen guard etc plus some discounts as well ) which is insane!

The way I see it, 128 GB starting storage for the pro puts it $150 above the 128 GB 12. So if you find $150 in value in those upgrades, it's worth it.

Well, I absolutely love the Pacific Blue colour on Pro models, but the price difference between Mini and Pro 6.1 (both 128GB) is too steep for me. Here in Czech it's actually $280...
I would be getting more beautiful colour and stainless steel and one more camera and bigger RAM. But also much more weight and the screen that might be too big for me - I'm still on the old SE. And I almost forgot - I always use case for my iPhone so the colour is actually not important.

So the Mini in Blue it is!

For Christmas. Or sooner.

great for taking the time to look. I had no idea. I just assumed It would be like last years deal. No special properties with the case itself and wireless charging still goes through

Decided to go from 11 Max Pro to the 12 Pro. Hoping I don't regret not waiting for the larger screen.

I'm also wondering about that. I'm switching from my XS Max to the 12 Pro. I'm curious how I'll feel about the screen size difference. I originally switched from my X to the XS Max as I wanted the larger screen size.

Will see if I keep the 12 Pro, return it for a 12 Pro Max or stick with my XS Max a little longer.

I just pre-ordered an iPhone 12 pro in GOLD. I chose pick up instead of delivery since now delivery is being pushed into November. So I have a window at the Apple store to pick it up on October 23rd. While I’m there the other colors will be on display and if for any reason gold doesn’t do it for me in person I’ll request a color change right then and there. I chose the base storage model. I added mag charger and silicone case. Total came out to 1171$. one time payment

hope you like the one your getting as they will only change the color if they have an extra one and they usually dont

My rule-of-thumb: I always go with in-store pickup for these kind of things. The store is pretty much guaranteed to get shipments in on time.

And way better than waiting at home all day for it to be delivered.

This is not surprising since there’s a ton of folks on an annual upgrade plan.

Yeah. Apple has also successfully engineered it’s own buzz & initial hyper-demand. A nice upgrade if you’re on an older model but even my 1st Gen XR is not worth replacing yet. I’m glad people who feel the burning desire or need to upgrade have a fresh option. For me, it will be there when I’m ready but LIDAR and 5G doesn’t compel me to drop a cool grand yet. I do like the return to the original iPhone 4-esq styling/form though.

Explain How the fold 2 is cheaper than the 12 pro max? You lost me. Here in the United States the pro max starts at 1099$. The fold 2 is 2000$

Triskaidekaphobia is not really that widespread. It’ll only be a problem if they somehow misfire and the entire lineup has some fundamental flaw.

Stock is down this morning. There is no correlation between iPhone sales and the stock price. Stocks are a perception thing.

Stock price does go up a bit right before the keynote, then drops during or right after the keynote (when the press things go out and some people are disappointed) and then it goes back to the normal price once the fanboys are out of the market and normal trading resumes.

Just sell at the hype-peak, buy back at the disappointment dip and buy your new gadget from the profit. Repeat at the next keynote.

I do believe that launch days and prices for new products affect the stock price a bit, depending on whether it matches the market's expectation or not.
