Saying I can't wait for the new device is no different than saying I can't wait for Christmas, or the Superbowl, or to hit the gym. It's an expression of desire not a demand of time-turning. There are appropriate and inappropriate places to do things. It's ok to check yourself out at the gym but not so at the bank, just like it's ok to talk endlessly about the new iPhone at MacRumors but not at bodybuilder.com. You probably think you see it frequently here because this is the place to discuss those things.

Saying it over-and-over-and-over in multiple threads for weeks on end is obsessive.

whys everyone moaning about the Lidar? No one's forcing you to use it.
I'd understand if the prices went up to samsung prices but aren't they rumoured to be pretty much the same as last year?

I hope this iPhone doesn’t get delayed till November man

I hope not neither because I am impatiently waiting for the 12 Pro Max. My XS Max has been waiting for months now to be upgraded. The only good thing right now is my XS Max is jailbroken so I’m also trying to enjoy that before the new iPhones are released which won’t be jailbroken.

A couple people already mentioned it, but I'll echo the sentiment - I want a small phone with a top-end camera. I thought the 6.1" iPhone 12 Pro was going to be a compelling reason to go a bit bigger than I actually want. But if the iPhone 12 Pro is missing LIDAR, that is going to make my choice to go with the smaller 5.4" iPhone 12 a no-brainer.
