I won't buy it until it's made in usa. I refuse to support a company that capitalizes on cheap offshore labor and pollutes the environment with all that shipping.

You obviously input your post on some sort of internet-connected device. Which device is that and where was it made?

I agree. I love buying American whenever possible, my Subaru was built in Indiana and my Honda was from Ohio. I wish there was an iPhone built here but I know it is fiscally impossible.

I'm still confused. If Verizon Wireless only offers mmWave 5G, does that mean the lower iPhone 12s that don't support mmWave are going to be labeled as 4G phones from Verizon?

Verizon's 5G plan is a basically a recipe for disaster. They probably will only certify some iPhones for use on their 5G network.

I mustadmit thst I don’t get the deail with MNOs needing YP certify phones, a 5G phone is a 5G phone right, the same standard, is this a US only thing, I’ve nevere heard of it here in norway (not in the rest of Europa either , bur that miget just have passed me by)? Jyst FYI, no I’m not beeing a europe thst just ranks the us down, no contry or region is perfect, we all have our problems and things that can and often shuld be done better

The sweet spot for 5G has always been sub-6 frequencies. It offers the best penetration and speed.

The U.S. FCC has been reluctant to release sub-6 frequencies for commercial use (reserving them instead for gov use). As a result, U.S. carriers have been forced to deploy a workaround (mmWave). Things are starting to change, but that slowed down proper sub-6 deployment.

The rest of the world, particularly Asia is focused on sub-6 deployments.

Great reason to be on Sprint or T-Mobile.

T-Mobile is doing an extensive build out of sub-6 5G. T-Mobile is also doing millimeter wave stuff too, but have prioritized band n71 (600 MHz) Deployments. With the Sprint merger, They have begun to light up band n41 (2.5 GHz) in additional markets as well.

if this is true, is terrible news for Verizon as they’re going to have to market a 5G capable iPhone around the fact that they don’t have any measurable sub-6 compatible 5G deployment. When the iPhone Pro does come out, There still gonna have to convince customers to spend more money if they want a 5G capable phone on their network.

Going to be a great line up this year:
iPhone SE A13 $399 LCD LTE
iPhone 11 A13 $549 LCD LTE
iPhone 12 A14 $649 OLED 5G
iPhone 12 Plus A14 $749 OLED 5G
iPhone 12 Pro A14 $999 OLED 5G/mm
iPhone 12 Pro Max A14 $1099 OLED 5G/mm
I think the iPhone 11 will be discontinued. Just speculation on my part, but I don’t see Apple selling 3 different 6.1” models. I think all of the 11 models go away. They’ll offer the other 5 you listed above, then introduce the se plus in March to fill in that price gap and offer a 2nd LTE-only device.

Last year was the first time since the iPhone 6 that I skipped out on an upgrade. The 11 just didn’t have enough of a jump from the XS.

But smaller notch, better camera, better battery life and a higher refresh screen and I’m totally in for a Pro Max.

Fingers crossed!

Dude. What phone do you own? Some foreign owned company. Brack at least Apple is a US company unlike Samsung So US dollars used to by and iPhone stay here rather than go to overseas
People please look at where your US$ go
You Volvo buying nerds China owns frikin Volvo
Toyota - Japan
Audi - Germany
Jeep/Ram - France/Italy
Tesla is one of the only US owned US built cars left. A few Fords and a few GMs

If Apple discontinues iPhone 11, they have a big hole in the $599 spot. That is extremely unlikely given the sweet spot.

The SE2 Plus when launched, will likely be $499.

Not if the 5.4” is $599 and the 6.1” keeps the current 11 price.

Apple always short changes the smallest model in their line up of devices! The 5.4” iPhone 12 is not a Pro model and the upcoming iPad Mini will again get the same components as the “Air”. Ugh! Not only it is limited in the amount of RAM too!

That's a distinct possibility. But I doubt Apple will leave money on the table. The iPhone XR sold like hotcakes at $749 with obvious deficiencies. The new 6.1" has enough features to put it back at $749.

Nah. Verizon’s reliability is unmatched. T-Mobile/Sprint has a horrendous reputation for having horrible reception in the absolute most random spots.
I live in Boston. Which is one of the biggest cities in the USA in terms of popularity & etc. Even out here T mobile is *****.

Verizon gives you service deep in the woods of New Hampshire and Maine when T mobile is “ searching”

I will take reliability and dependability over some quicker speeds for some things.

You'll be waiting a while.

And you'll be really bored while you wait.

The rest of us will be having a good time, though, so it's all good.

That said, you're commenting in an Apple site. I'm confused as to why you're here when ALL Apple products are outsourced, one way or another if I'm correct.

Got to pay to play...

There are phones made in the US?

No, and that's the point. Unless we make a stand we're part of the problem. So not buying. Anything. It's all slave labor offshore, and it's all fossil-fueled megaships creating climate change. Surprised I have to explain it here, where we're supposed to be sensitive to that. I'm putting my money where my mouth is.
