Lets be honest.

The features introduced by iphone 12 series are minimal and some may argue that this is a downgrade from 11 pro.

- 5g is irrelevant in most countries and LTE is already adequate in terms of speed/download sizes of files used in a mobile device.
- magsafe: save from being cool offers nothing at the moment.
- cameras: essentially the same.wider lens and other software little contribute to the overall quality. The dolby vision etc cannot be utilised in other monitors or devices yet.
SOC: a13 already fast
- display, speakers, bezels, all the same
- battery life: even worse

My question is: what does iphone 12 bring to the table?
Imo effectively brings reduced battery life and longevity in that respect.

Refer to an improvement.
cameras? If i showed you two
Photos you would not be able to distinguish

Now this is just pure stupid, you can do better than this.

While I agree that the upgrades are very small, and that the battery capacity is a downgrade for sure, if you take a look at any review and compare a photo from the 11 pro to the 12 pro you will sure see a difference. Especially in the ultra wide lens, but images from all of the lenses are a tad sharper in the 12 pro than in the 11 pro.

When the Max comes out we will se a huge improvement and difference from the 11 pro max to the 12 pro max.

Its not like you are SUPPOSED to upgrade your iPhone yearly. For us coming from 8s and below this upgrade is truley huge, and most of us cant wait.

But sure, if you expect insane upgrades in technology yearly you will be dissapointed. If so I recommend finding other pleasures in life than iPhone upgrades, as they are plenty and not far between. Good luck.

Everything is an upgrade excluding battery life and display (pros). And bezels aren't the same; they're slightly smaller on the 12 series than on the 11 pro.

Fact is there's going to be incremental improvements when it comes to such a mature technology. People who upgrade annually are a minority. Average person upgrades every 4 years and over 4 years incremental upgrades add up.

Just Google “Dolby Vision TV.” You may not have the devices, but they are out there and becoming more common.

Let’s see what we can come up with..

- the flat sides have already been mentioned in reviews that the phone will stand up on its own. This is clearly dangerous and people will have cracked screens where their phone falls over in the wind.

- the sharp edges will dig into my little finger way more when I have it balanced in my hand

- the OLED screen will make my TV look bad so I’ll have to upgrade that which will cost thousands of dollars

You have to go pixel by pixel and look into it. Are you serious? All night mode stuff is pure software and could be done on the 11

hardware wise nothing is new and an improvement worth mentioning

and majority of review already up were paid by apple. Check your reality

And according to Tom's Guide the battery life is actually better, not worse:

iPhone 12 Pro on 4G: 11:24
iPhone 11 Pro: 10:24
iPhone 11: 11:16
I think it is worth waiting for a few other battery tests before coming to a conclusion on iPhone 12/pro battery life. The difference between the 12 and 12 pros in tom guides tests doesn't really make sense.

factually incorrect. Straight off the shape of the phone and colors are new... in case you aren’t aware - that’s part of the hardware. There’s also the A14, which is technically improved on the A13 - it’s not always about raw performance numbers.

Despite your beliefs, most reviewers are *NOT* paid by Apple. The ones that are, are required by law to say so.

12 > 11 Pro in every single thing expect two things :

1/ Photo with zoom x2 in good lighting conditions are better on 11 Pro but very slightly (telephoto on smart HDR2 vs digial zoom x2 on smart HDR3). ANY others photo will be slightly better on 12 vs 11 Pro.
2/ Autonomy but it should be up to 1 hour less from my understanding except with intensive use of 5G.

Everything else is better on 12.
Don't get me wrong 11 Pro is an insane device, it's just the fact that the 12 offers an insane value proposition for a non-pro model this year.

Most tech reviewers are android inclined tbh.

A better phone is never a downgrade

stop trying to justify last years model. 11 and 11 pro didn’t stop being great just because a new and better device is out.

every area is better so stop this.

Smaller only on specs.

So because something might be possible on an 11 with software it’s suddenly not an improvement?

Only the 6GB interests me. That’s a +2GB future proofing.
It isn't worth a €200 extra. Pro can be a good purchase decision if you are serious in photo/video stuff but just RAM is not enough. I have made a topic about it since it was my only concern this year to go or not Pro, and I got a huge concensus saying that it's not relevant enough.
