I agree, and it was definitely the case with the 6 Plus. The only example I can come up with is perhaps the iPhone 6 when it replaced the 5S?
1gb ram & 64bit OS should never have happened.
I swim against the tide on this one, but I’d also say the iPad Air 1 was the worst iPad for the same reason. Far worse than the iPad 3. The iPad 3 was quickly superseded by the iPad 4, it was slow and heavy BUT it had a great screen and was stable. It worked.
The iPad Air 1 was garbage, plasticky screen, unstable due to 1gb RAM/64 bit. Pause a podcast, go to Safari, press resume….oops, podcast app flushed, plays random music. Lots of random crashes. Open 2 tabs, start a post, go to second tab, go back, page flushed and reloads. I’ve never copied and pasted so much in my life. The good old 32bit 1gb iPad 3 did none of this. It was like I said, just a bit slow and heavy.
Sold the Air 1 after a couple of months and spent 9 months without an iPad. The iPad Air 2, to be fair, was an excellent iPad.
