Keep in mind that those are continues numbers that don't reset after charge cycle. If you notice that there is screen on-time bars when you are charging. Those are all a running total. That is at least the way I understand it. I could be wrong.

I charge at night so not during the day

Why does going to the gym make such a huge different in SOT for me?

On gym day: max 6-7h SOT. Nearly all on Wifi. At gym LTE with 25 min SOT + spotify (there was an update and it never drained too much battery for me). I get out of the gym with 35 min SOT and 94% (+60 min spotify) so no big drain at the gym.

On non gym days I get 9-11h easily with 97% on wifi (so maybe 5-10 min SOT on LTE)

Currently 1:45h SOT with 90% left.

Not sure if anyone else is experiencing this but I seem to be having major battery drain with no cell coverage. In this screenshot you can see that during this hour where I was mostly just using Spotify with my screen off, no cell coverage accounted for the vast majority of my battery drain.

The odd part is that I was on wifi the entire time.. is this normal?

It looks like what probably happened was that the phone was trying to search for a cell signal and that will definitely drain a battery fast. I have not seen something like that before.

I just find it odd that my phone would use all that battery searching for service while i’m on Wifi and clearly not in need of cellular. Seems like a bit of flawed design, but unfortunately nothing we as users can do🤷‍♂️ Wish apple would consider optimizing things like this

* today was so-so. was pretty much indoors most of the day. one of my enterprise apps i believe went a bit haywire hence the lower battery life. its really 8.5 hour SOT not 9.5 as it included last nights usage so had to subtract one hour.
* im going to unpair my watch and see how much it improves battery life

When I don’t start the day with gym. Just Wifi. On pair for over 10h SOT.

When I’m at the gym I can barely reach 6-7h SOR beside I just use it for 20-25 min at the gym. The drain begins after gym. My battery falls pretty quick after gym. Today at home 2h SOT and 90 (!!!) % left. And I used instagram and Facebook all the time.

Now 4h SOT with 60% left.

Why does my battery drain so much AFTER the gym? I go to work no different usage. At 60% battery I would now have 2:20h SOT instead of over 4h.

Hello! I use iPhone 13 Pro from tuesday and I have opinion about battery:

-if I run for example Facebook, Instagram, immediately 20-30 minutes battery drain about 1% per 5-6 minutes.

-if I run occasionally - battery drain about 1% per 10-15 minutes.

I only use 5G auto, occasionally couple with my Apple Watch 6.

Yesterday I made test about how long battery did in normal day. My score: 8h14 minutes SOT, battery droped to 12%. I think that is good score after 3 days but in my opinion software isn't good because battery can be able to drop immediately in fast way without any hard drain by apps.

Maybe battery will improvements a week, a two weeks - who knows :)

Disable continuous location services for all the apps that have it not necessary and do the same for background apps.

Not very good considering that you disable both wifi and cellular, did you do anything else to improve the battery life?
I disabled Siri and Skype from background refresh. I think that battery is 2-3x better than battery in iPhone 11. Maybe is not perfect but for me acceptable, 3/5 :D For sure developers should catch eye on it.

disable more, especially facebook and other social media.

edit, sorry I missed your previous post.
What is your drain overnight? Mines about 4% over 8 hours with wifi and cellular on. Is that what is to be expected. Some report 0% to 1% but how can that be possible?…

Mine was 7% tonight (8 hours) with wifi and cellular (dual eSim) on.

Most app location and background services disabled.

I consider this bad but it was also the first night.

If I disable background refreshing for Facebook/Instagram/Gmail etc. will I receive future notifications? Will it normally?
Probably not, but keep them on only if you need them.

I disabled them for FB, Instagram, Twitter... if I enter the app I see them.

Emails notifications are on instead because I need them!

Ok. So 3 to 4 sounds ok?

5% or less in 8 hours is good to me.
