From 7am to 3pm on the 1/28 didi you use Messenger, Google Map, Instagram, Facebook?

It looks like from 6pm to 12am on 1/27 you had about 3:25, used about 40% battery. Estimate would be about 8:30, 100% battery used. From 7am to 4pm on 1/28 you had 3:30, used about 23% battery, Estimate of about 15:00 with 100% battery used.

You battery life was much better from 7am to 4pm on 1/28 vs 6pm to 12am on 1/27. It looks like the issue could be associated with apps that you are using.
You do know that the drop is not linear right? You can’t extrapolate a couple hours usage to a 100% battery. Not how it works.

Dose it matter how you charge battery except holding battery between 40-80%?

Im using old iphone charger, no fast charger.

Is that better?

Could you also provide a link to some charger with timer option?

I understand that. That is why I say it is an estimate.
It’s misleading when the battery life ends up being a whole hour or more less than your estimate. Adding to that you tend to add the words of the sort “that’s good battery life” or “your battery estimate is in line with mine” which doesn’t help whoever’s asking for a solution.

Battery at 30%

Been using for a week. Is this a good battery performance?

The best thing is to reduce the amount of heat during charging. Using the 5 watt charger is fine. I use a 12 watt charger. Personally, I am sticking with slow charging, no fast or wireless charging. I use the 80/20 rule.

If you are looking for a recommendation for a smart plug, I use the Wemo WiFi smart plug. I chose it because it is HomeKit comparable. I have been using it for several months and it seems to work well so far.

The consensus is that getting 12 hours, or more, of battery usage is good battery life. That means you would need to average 8.3%/hr not including periods of standby or charging.

If you apply that to your battery usage how does it look?

We all know that the first 50% goes down slower compared to 50-0% but still.
By the way. The chess i am playing is a 2D game, with 60 frames per minute )))
That might be the main reason why i got 7 hours SOT on 50%

Battery life still horrible will do one final test on WiFi only and will do a reset if its still bad

I have used Recovery Mode Update to fix some issues I have had. It refreshes a fresh copy of the latest iOS on your phone without touch your user data. I always do a backup as a precaution.

I’ve just done a full reset so will see the differences today.

I’ve been getting 2-3 hours screen on time. I got 4 hours yesterday but I had to put it in charge for 30 mins

Is anyone having issues with Standby battery drain? When I first got my 13 Pro it was great. Would easily get 2-3% drain at night if I didn't charge it.

But what's really bugging me now is that my phone is draining like 10% over a 6 hour span at night. Find My and the Home app are the only items which show up as being used.

I've tried a ton of things - unpair AirTags, turn off Find My, recreate my Home, reset all settings, etc. Nothing is working.

Maybe try Recovery Mode Update. See post #1439.

How is 15.3.1? Somehow the battery is worse. Way worse. I wish I stayed on 15.3.

I don't have a usb-c or an adapter for my laptop to make the restore atm. I will give it a few days, have read that the first days after updating, the battery drain is normal; and slowly will get better. Health is still at 100%. Is just that since 15.1, every update was fine. Except now :(

Maybe try doing a Recovery Mode Update. It sometimes corrects issues. All it will do is refresh a new copy of the full OS. Make sure to do a backup as a precaution.
I hate to open this can of worms, but there are conflicting posts about this. Is my understanding of DFU and Recovery correct?

Both Recovery Mode + Update and DFU Update mode update the same thing... the iOS software image. The end result (update process and software installed) is the same, with exception of DFU allowing older software images. Recovery+Restore results in the same state as erasing the device and using either Update method. Both updates are equally thorough, and both "restore" approaches are equally thorough.

So there is no particular advantage to one or the other for installing the complete iOS software to troubleshoot battery issues? After doing an Update of iOS image without improvement, the next step is of the Restore approaches.

Does this match your understanding?
