13 Pro Max, 15.3.1, disappointed with battery life. Shouldn’t it be better?

Deleted the forest app and the battery life is amazing. I think it is around 6-7 hrs on screen time now. Easily 1,5-2 days on a charge. I was using the phone a lot more yesterday (War in Ukraine), but with my typical use, could even be 3 days.

For what it's worth, iOS 15.4, or maybe that combined with Monterey 12.3 and watchOS 8.5, really made my autonomy better. Looks like I gained a couple hours of SoT daily. Projected time is now 8 hours instead of 6, always LTE. Hope it will stay this way

It looks to me that I am actually getting better battery life on my 13 Pro Max with 15.4 then I was getting with 15.3.1. The Core Animation fix is probably what is giving me better battery life. Everything seems a bit more responsive as well.

How is the battery life when you are not using Low Power mode?
I don't always have it on , I had it when I did the last screen shot ,I have Shorcut to start when 40% percent and I always have Reduce White Point at 70% , I am 40-80% most of time with a 5w charger and in my flat because I have only 1 bar 4G I have also shorcut to go on 3G ... I post here photo with last 10 days , I think my battery life is good , I don't know how to read the battery stats

The 24 hour battery usage is on a 3 hour moving window. Meaning the time window shifts to the left every 3 hours. When the window moves the previous 3 hour that shifted off is still included until the new 3 hour window fills up.

The thing to keep in mind the battery usage charts (both 24 hour and 10 day) include the time you had your phone on the charger. So it can be a skewed view.

Click on an individual bar in the usage chart (24-hour and 10-day) and it will show you the apps that are running in that time slot.

Click on “SHOW ACTIVITY” it will show the amount of time each app used in the time slot.

What do you guys think of my brightness setting? This my new 13 pro. First phone with an oled screen. This is how I like it personally, obviously I adjust if necessary. But mostly it’s like this. No auto brightness. Do OLED screens get better battery life than the oled iPhones with retina? That’s what I always thought.

Brightness level is a personal preference. I use Auto Brightness which can help get better battery life.

Yes that’s right. I’m just trying see what other users set their brightness to, to achieve a happy battery life. It’s my first phone with an oled, and I’m trying to figure out if my expectations were a bit too high.

For example, a friend of mine told me
That his iPhone 12 wouldn’t do very well with my “high” brightness. I don’t feel like it’s high.

I’m still seeing horrible battery life with 15.4.1 (iPhone 13 Pro). Anyone else seeing the same issue/have a fix?

fair to say my battery life is back to being amazing even though I use both my 13 pro max and s22 ultra fairly equally still on 58% left with 3 hours, 20 mins screen on time

iPhone 12 series just have crap battery life no matter what.

I can never make any sense of this screen, currently 84% at 11:55 after taking phone off charge at 06:04. (13 Pro MAX)

Battery life seems ok and average around 50% at bedtime although struggling to see how I’d get two days out of it that most are reporting.
