iPhone 13 iPhone 13 - battery life thread [MEGA THREAD]

I did the same thing twice today and both times my battery drop 5% when I restarted. I think it’s iOS 15’s battery calibration is not correct right now
But does your battery % go down gradually with phone usage? Mine has been stuck at 92% for like an hour even though I've been using my phone. Restarted and then it shows 88%. But then stuck again :(

For anyone having battery issues try a reset all settings. If this does not work I would suggest try an iCloud backup then erase and set up as new.

Give it a week and see how battery compares. If no better you can always install your old backup.

I noticed something strange. It was the same with my iPhone 12 Pro with iOS 14. If you add up the values in the battery statistics yourself, completely different values are displayed there. Here for example:

It shows 1.30h Screen On and 26min Screen Off

And if you add it up yourself with a calculator:
1h 54min SOn and 20min SOff

Can someone also do the math and can confirm?

i have the same problem. I calculate that and its more but i think thats wrong. I try to explain that.

Its more usage until you see only the current day. Its hard to explain haha. When you see f. e. 5h from yesterday on the graph everything is wrong even if you just calculate the usage of today. When yesterday's usage's disappeared from the 24h graph you can calculate the usage up and you will see its exactly the same as on the 24h graph.

Do you understand? If not I'll try it with pics.

Edit: du bist deutscher, ich schreib dir PN das ist einfacher.

Even with lighter usage than normal i still got 6 hours, 46 mins screen on time yesterday. Although past few days i have been getting under 20%.

lowest screen on time I’ve had with this phone was last Saturday when i got 5 hours, 30 mins and didn’t use the phone as much. Granted all this is mostly on Wi-Fi.im sure when i go to work where i will be on only 4G the battery will drain faster.

Is anyone else experiencing power drops after completely powering off + turning back on? I just did this and lost 5% between 10 minutes of the phone being completely shut off.
Yup, have been experiencing this since I picked up the phone last Saturday. 15.0.1 hasn't made a difference.
My suggestion, open a case with Apple Support. People need to be proactive about reporting issues they find.

There is another issue that some people are facing related to the battery. If they restarted the phone, the battery percentage gets stuck and won't update.
I saw something about that too. Haven’t personally noticed the percentage being stuck but it does seem a little peculiar that both are triggered by restarting your phone

i went down to apple and told them about this. they said the battery is still calibrating and to give it a week or two to stablise. i’m getting 1% drops after rebooting now. was getting 3-4% drops previously
Thanks for the info. I just got a 2% drop so hopefully that just means it’ll keep going down until 0% haha

All day 13 Pro. 4 hour 9 min SoT.
2h 2 min off screen.
Are my expectations really high or are these numbers kinda okay?

I get very similar numbers with my iPhone 13 Pro.

My heaviest day was on Tuesday with 4h 4min SOT and 11h Background Usage, ended the day at 25%. Note that I didn't restore from a backup, this was a clean install. And I think the numbers are normal. I'm currently travelling so lots of GPS and Cellular usage, plus lots of brightness fluctuation - not sure if it's the same for you. I believe the folks who are getting 8h of SOT on their standard Pros aren't actually leaving the house.

And when I'm in the hotel in the evening, my battery usage is quite good as well, because then I can use wifi, low brightness and don't need GPS.

Usually, what I have experienced in the past with beta releases and final releases after an update or restore I always reset all settings that seem to have always worked for me. If that doesn't work then maybe the end-user has a lemon?

I feel the same, this are my stats after a week. Yesterday Tapatalk was chewing my battery super fast, I think it was the ads. Apollo on Reddit almost left the battery untouched. Installed AdGuard pro now. Always in 4G never Wi-Fi
